  1. I like the Baofeng Uv5r. They are cheap ($35) with decent capabilities.

    Starter .308?

Spots brings up a good point about bolt actions. I am a fan of .308 rifles. Right now, I only own three; SOCOM 16, FNAR and GSR. I can guarantee, the GSR will be here a LONG time. It's awesome. The SOCOM is fun but HEAVY. The FNAR is accurate, smooth, but BORING. I tried to like the FAL, PTR, CETME, AR10, but AR10 was the only one that felt like a long term keeper. Here's a pic of my of the GSR.

    Missing a rifle

I have several 308 rifles. I really like my Ruger GSR with a Burris MTAC scope. Another favorite is the Socom16 with walnut stock and Leupold Scout scope with Warne QD rings.
  4. Love my 930spx.
  5. Tell me how the mounts work. I have a Burris MTAC that I would like to add to my walnut stocked SOCOM. If I don't figure out a solution soon, it's going on my Ruger GSR and the Leupld Scout scope will on the SOCOM.
  6. I have owned all of the rifles that you listed. For the $700 price point, I might give up detach mag feed. If that's palatable, I think savage and rem are better options. I've not fired my MP, but trigger is good / action is rough / barrel looks like it will, take awhile to break in. I am a big fan of the FNAR and FN PBR. They are VERY accurate, box fed and fairly priced.
  7. Wareagle!
  8. I used carpet padding, grocery bags and duct tape,
  9. My wife bought me the varmint model. I like it lot, but would prefer the predator stock. I have not fired yet, but like it a lot.
  10. Nope. Just buying five 35" Toyo mud terrains for a land cruiser. Last set was $1200. The dollar is headed south quickly.
  11. Argh! Just went to place an order on Amazon I forgot to buy tires before this hit. Will have to pay almost $200 extra now!!!
  12. I have a 44 tracker. Very nice shooter.
  13. I think the M1A loads are usually less than 180 gr and play closer attention to m1a headspacing.
  14. Yeah, they are slow, but don't cancel orders
  15. WDE!
  16. Evidence confirms that Auburn is #1.
  17. War Eagle!
  18. I'd say $550. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/21_49_118
  19. I have a SS .44mag vaquero w/ 5.5 Barrel. It shoots great. Trigger is excellent. Finish is top notch.
  20. Zero interest here.

    P238

My wife lives hers the sight picture gave her some issues, but was dead one after abox of ammo. FYI, never try Tula. Hers won't even chamber. Other pistols have had no issues.
  22. FYI, the PPR mount arrived today. Great combo. I really appreciate the guidance. I could not be happier with setup.
  23. I love my PRO. Original mount is serving well. No plans to change right now.
  24. Just had a chance to take a look at the MTAC today. Wow! What a scope. These are SUPER nice.
  25. I prefer Engel. They are more bear resistant and keep ice longer than Yeti. ;) Seriously, I currently have an Engel, and have used yeti for years. The quality is much better than Coleman, rubbermaid and Igloo. To me, it is like comparing an AK to an AR. The AR is so much better.
