I lived in franklin a few years ago. Fire dept recommended keeping some marshmallows by the fire pit. Apparently, cooking of meals precludes HOA and local ordinance issues.

i am blocked again.

Sounds wierd. Maybe he was looking for some new friends??

Scouts loves help. They will certainly let you become involved with your grandson's experience. I really suggest that you register as a leader of some sort. Just ask how you can help your pack!

I doubt he will be forced to wear a hat, but there are some ceremonies that a hat will be required. Its mostly the formal stuff that involves rank advancement.
here's another link to share..

Guys, Consumer leases are a rip. The lease agreements are tilted unfairly towards the lessor.
Commercial leases have much softer language. Plus, leases favorably impact return on invested capital ratios.
For your sister, hyundai sorrento has the best lease ratios.

Mike,
I am asst scoutmaster for boy scouts. I. Also led cub scout dens.
You can usually get by with a hat, shirt, belt and neckerchief for the uniform. A book is really necessary. Where does she live? My wife is pack 12 recruiting chair.

ARe all of the rounds loose? Any boxes or wrappers? I agree that this seems like Chinese copper wash. It was mostly if not all corrosive at this time.

I am an assistant scoutmaster. I would say that any Troop would love to have something like that. I just tool a dozen or so scouts to Shining Rock last week. several of the boys were on borrowed old gear.

I have the same rifle there's a bevel job that really helps out. Search the net and you'll find the M77 mk-II has one of the easiest triggers to work. http://www.varminthunters.com/tech/ruger77trigger.html Add Wolff trigger and pin springs and you'll be set.

Congrats

This should be a daily thread with "play by play"...I mean "drink by drink".
For instance, I've had 1 Sam Adams and 2 Souza Blancos. That's probably my box score for the evening.

Past 125, it's always been kind of hard to tell just how much faster I'm going, but maybe that's just me.

25 years ago, I was stopped for going about 140-150 in a 55 in the desert. I was almost excited to get ticketed to see what the radar said. Instead, the officer issued a generic 120+ ticket for wasting fuel ($20). I could not get exact speed from the officer because "it's always been kind of hard to tell just how much faster than 120 speeders are going" and the "dept does not want to create a contest for setting top speed records".

My mini-30 has been 100% reliable with factory and pro mags. Accuracy is pretty good. Better than and SKS or AK with factory sights. A scope gets it down to about 3-4" at 100 yards. Never had any issues with russian or chinese ammo. There is a lot of talk about mini-30s. Years ago, they were said to be barrell'd on a US spec 7.62 (.308 vs .311) instead of chinese (that was the main import then). Later came a talk about bent firing pins. I've fired a lot of chinese ammo (1k rounds) through mine, but never had any issues at all. I'm about out of chinese ammo, so we'll see how the russian stuff works out.

I would use locktight. Those things loosen up easily

I'm looking at a new toy vehicle. Does anyone have an enterprise license on carfax? If so, can you run a report for me?

I have a light barrel FNAR. The action is super smooth. I am told that the FNAR is built with match grade PBR barrels. THe SX-AR is standard barrel. I don;t think the Winchester offers a 1MOA guarantee, however, interchangeability is 100%. I don't know about much more but Mr. Lundberg and Mr. Crookston via Welcome to Hero Gear provided a very sweet deal on my FNAR.

I have one. I like it.

Does anyone have a line on a low budget 9mm upper?
Edit, It needs to be a flat top, so I can add an EOTech or clone.
Thanks, Mark

i just pulled a variable Pentax Lightseeker and replaced it with a SS 10x42mm. The Pentax has better optics, but the build quality is very similar. My personal opinion is that the SS tubes and controls are much more durable than Nikon or Leupold. The Pentax tubes seem to be equivalent.

If you end up with more than needed, please send my way. MY wife and I are leaders for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Last couple of years produced a more needy families than the than past. Luckily there are still a lot of new boys entering scouting. My wife was a cub scout recruiter this year. I think she signed up 35+ new boys.
