  1. Civivi is a great option for an inexpensive folder. For a battle belt knife...so many to choose from. Check out the sites mentioned above plus bladehq.com. Any fixed blade in 3V steel is excellent for hard use.
  2. If you guys want a great, bullet proof clear coat option check out SprayMax 2K clear coat. I've used the glossy on a motorcycle and a number of other things. I use the matte on guns and it holds up extremely well. It's a true auto clear coat with the hardener. It's the best you're going to find anywhere. It's pricey and the can will harden up 24hrs after you puncture the hardener and shake the can so I usually wait until I have a few things to paint
  3. I agree that it sounds like something other than the front sight is causing the issue. Drifting it all the way out should cause a major shift in POI. I had my barrel chopped years ago and the sight was reinstalled. Had to rezero it and it only took minor adjustments. This was on a Chinese model.
  4. Following this topic to see if any good refinishers pop up. I have a Benelli M2 that could use some work as it’s been a hunting gun for many years. It’s an interesting situation since the barrel is parkerized and the receiver is anodized.
  5. What was the change in reset w/ the Apex kit? I’ve shot the Plus a few times at the range (rental) to compare it to some others. Love the gun but the reset wasn’t great.
  6. I carry the Streamlight micro stream USB as well. It’s a little smaller and half the lumens of the Macrostream USB. I’m not trying to blind anyone with it and it’s barely noticeable in my pocket.
  7. I carry a 1st gen S&w Shield. Out of the box I thought the grip was uncomfortable and kinda slick. I put a Hogue Handall on it and loved the way it felt. It’s been on there for years and I wouldn’t shoot it without it! I agree that the extended mags don’t always look great. I’ll say that, for me at least, the little bit of extra traction I get from the longer 8rd mag does help control the gun. Is it absolutely necessary? No, but it makes a noticeable difference and doesn’t add more than a half inch or so to the overall length.
  8. I agree with all of the above. I have a stainless T3 in 30-06. Great action, great trigger, and overall a great value for the money. I’m not a super long range shooter, but 500yds is no problem with this gun. Accurate and dependable!
  9. Nice to meet everyone! Moved here in February of '22 to be closer to family. I'm a California refugee, but don't hold that against me. I'm one of the good ones. Looking forward to getting to know this community!
