For those that heard about Newsoms “28th amendment”
crc4 replied to Scotty's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm not afraid, but I am cautious of anything that smacks of authoritarianism, anything that would deprive me of the natural inherent right of self-defense, and anything that prohibits free speech and free association. History is replete with examples of boiled frogs. "Why, we'll never have an income tax." 1912 "Why, we'll never have an unjustified war." Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan "Why, we'll never have universities where free speech is crushed." 1994 "Why, we'll never have sexual identities taught in public schools to 1st graders." 2018 "Why, we'll never have massive socialism in America." 1932 onward As I say, "It can't happen here until it does." -

Huey Long of Louisiana comes to mind - a populist/socialist with massive support that scared FDR. "It Can't Happen Here" are words eaten many times throughout history. -

In Germany, no one took the 'Little Corporal' seriously either - at first. By the time some people did, it was too late. -

Puma knives are classic and among the best and this one is very nice. GLWS. -
You, sir, have it correct. That's not to say a cop or prosecutor might view it as "not an aggravated assault" and not prosecute, but presenting or displaying a firearm could always be viewed as an aggravated assault. Before presenting a firearm for self-defense, it needs to meet the same 5 elements of a self-defense action or you could find yourself charged with a serious felony resulting in 20 years in prison.

Poll Results in Tennessee, not just Vanderbilt either...
crc4 replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Unless you're a member of a 'protected and entitled' group in Democratic Party-controlled thug-land cities. Then the 2nd Amendment people are the 'dangerous' people. -
Attorney Andrew Branca on 'The Law of Self-Defense' just released a video on this topic. Well-worth watching. Does Displaying a Gun Equate to Deadly Force?
-
Avoid the Democratic party controlled cities - Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga - all have crime rates that continue to soar with more and more tax money paid in entitlements and patronage while infrastructure suffers and homeless camps abound. East Tennessee counties are your best bet with lower taxes, less crime, fewer housing projects and the resulting derelict urban jungles of squalor. You will be welcomed as most Tennesseans enjoy having good people for neighbors.

Progressives will, welfare recipients will, thugs will, the pay-for-no-work crowd will, free housing will, slum and homeless bums will, BLM will, cancel culture will, Woke will, the trans-it crowd will, urban jungles will, etc. Generations of those who have lived on the backs of taxpayers and decent folks will. Don't fool yourself. Why do you think they want the 2nd Amendment abolished and your guns confiscated? -
Gavin Newsome Proposes 28th Amendment to the Constitution
crc4 replied to i1afli's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Gavin "Goebbels" Newsom, "Cackleberry" Kamala, "Uncle Fester" Fetterman, and Joey "Stumbles" Biden. The names you can trust for gutting the 2nd Amendment. -
Fix that individual? Keep them in prison. I'm more concerned about those who are victims than perpetrators. History has shown that welfare, benefits, entitlements, and provided housing and food does nothing to stop crime in urban areas where perpetrators are viewed as 'social victims' to be pampered, not face consequences, and not be responsible. Build more prisons, take away welfare, work to eat, and if you commit violent crimes you can rot in jail or die.

People in Florida are Idiots -REVISED- People are Idiots
crc4 replied to Snaveba's topic in General Chat
He was relying on the Flordia "Stand in Your Driveway" doctrine for legal protection against aggravated assault charges. -
Memphis - don't they also have Stop and Rob stores where the urban inhabitants do all their stealing for free? The only punishment is if the store owner attempts to prevent theft. Next, the Memphis Urban Mafia will be demanding buses, Lyfts, and taxis to offer free rides to these stores as stealing and carjacking might endanger the thugs from someone who dares protect themselves with a gun. Take the 10 largest urban jungle Democratic Party-run cities out of the crime stats, and you'll have a normal crime rate. Take the 10 largest urban jungle Democratic Party-run cities out of existence and immediately life improves for everyone that matters.

Shelby County Shootout Leaves Homeowner in Jail
crc4 replied to gun sane's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Two points about this shooting event. The homeowner talked too much. When he said "he closed his eyes and fired" he was guilty of reckless endangerment. He talked too much. Memphis is a predatory urban jungle city. The DA is anti-gun, anti-self defense, is so soft on crime he should be called Charmin, and a typical George Soros-bought prosecutor. The prosecutor plays to his voters, not to the law. -
How do I get a copy of the policy to read before I sign up?
-
Does the policy cover firearms off-premises? For instance, stolen from cars, from a range, etc? What are the exclusions?
-
Time to bring out dogs, firehoses, and the Korean Rooftop guys with plenty of ammo.

Memphis - Proud that it's always in the top three dangerous cities in America. Wonder why? Stay classy, Memphis.

I'm not surprised that the firearms enhancement charge was dropped since this was an involuntary manslaughter case. -
