  1. (Back up for sale) Circa 1994 original Colt Match Target Lightweight, chambered in 7.62x39. Very low serial number. $1500 now $1350 OBO / trade in Chattanooga. Possible trades are similar value modern sporting rifles (MCX, Bren, HK/clones, etc), unique modern handguns, collectable older S&W, or other notable guns. Happy to add cash or other guns. Like-new condition, only fired enough to get a feel for it; less than 200 rounds. Two magazines that actually feed well included (original high caps were notorious for poor feeding of the bottleneck cartridge).
  2. I own a 16" and 20". They have replaced my 14.5" LR308 pistol, and my 18" LR308 battle rifle. Much better platform all around. Less customizable due to proprietary upper and bolt but they all work and are set up optimally to begin with. Other than exotic stuff I do like non-reciprocating side charging uppers, they do everything I want them to do. Accuracy: .8/.9 MOA with 168gr GMM. (16" unexpectedly more accurate than 20") 1.2-1.4 MOA with generic 147gr FMJ
  3. Wild... I've owned everything from early releases pre-recall to the latest and greatest Legions, Custom Shops, etc. Built or pushed improved sights on a few hundred more for customers. We simply have not seen a rash of customer complaints/bringbacks on P320 sights, nor have I had any issues with my personal collection or while pushing/replacing sights. Had other issues such as unintended discharge without touching the trigger (only on pre-fix guns, verified and repeatable) ... between the two I'd rather have sight issues!
  4. I've been doing professional Cerakote for 12 years in my San Diego shop. I agree with all the above - a good finish but it will eventually wear in the high spots. One extra caution is that many Cerakote applicators don't know how to handle polymer, and they will either under-bake it (low quality finish) or over-bake it (kills the color, or worse, destabilizes the polymer and ruins the frame).
  5. Happy update... I've been testing different ammo through the guns, and have found that all three barrel lengths prefer 77gr OTM Bergers. I was getting 1.5" to 2" groups out of the three Brens using m193. With the match OTMs all three are now sub-MOA shooters. Not half-inch at 100 like my match guns, but an honest inch or less. Thays good enough for me, with all their advantages.
  6. Welcome; where are you and what brought you to the Volunteer State?
  7. Two Chattanooga "trans/nonbinary" special education teachers were just arrested this week for prostitution.
  8. I do all manner of rifle barrel work, but I'm in Chattanooga, sorry.
  9. Nice work! I've done a few of these. Increasing the diameter of the lug mount holes is not for the faint of heart! Note it's also possible to cut the receiver side rails at the magwell, to accommodate real UMP mags, too. That's a great mod to get you out of the nanny cap magazines.
  10. I'm in if you're ever around Chattanooga!
  11. What price range and purpose? I can set you up. I'd need to know what you want the barrel to do for you.
  12. I am a lever gun collector and connoisseur - I have a few dozen in my collection ranging from a 4-digit serial number Winchester 94 to a Marlin "Jurrassic Park" SSBL. I concur with what's been said above: pistol cal (38/357 ideally), 22LR a distant second only because when you pick up the ol' girl, you want to feel the whole experience. One suggestion I didn't see above... go with a side gate loader. Nothing kills the John Wayne feeling like having to reach up towards the muzzle to feed a magazine tube. You can't re-live the Western shootout scenes thumbing rounds into your lever gun behind a rock while pinned down by bullets and arrows when you're loading your lever gun like a Glenfield .22! You're local to me... come on over if you want to see and feel a representation of just about every lever rifle ever made since 1870.
  13. I own over a dozen P320's. I have managed to repeatedly coax several of my pre-fix guns to fire (I loaded them with primer-only brass for testing) just by rapping the beavertail on a rubber mat. Later, Sig announced they had replicated and confirmed the problem. I have since had all my 1st gens updated, and cannot get them to fire on their own. I trust them and carry them in a variety of configurations, provide them for my family, and recommend them (along with others) to my handgun students.
  14. Holy cow. I think the two old school SA-22's I sold most recently went for $800 and $650. The $650 had some bluing loss on the receiver and minor corrosion without pitting on the barrel. I'd buy ten SA-22's at $450, sight unseen.
  15. Gunsmith here. Left hand extractor with heat.
  16. I'm in Cleveland all the time! I live on Harrison Bay, 15 minutes west of you. Welcome to the forum and good luck in your search.
  17. I have one for sale in my shop in CA, but it would be a chore to get it here.
  18. I deployed with a USO on a DMR. The old school (circa 2000-2010, like this ST) US Optics scopes were all made in the USA, and they were the rival of Schmidt in quality. Drop off cliff, shoot zeroed. GLWS.
  19. What an unfair way to leave the planet... showering at home.
  20. Certainly there must be *some* kind of break top you find interesting?
  21. Thanks Alleycat, I'll go browse the menu. Also, it isn't you.
  22. Greyfox said: Both are Smith & Wesson .32 Single Actions AKA the Model One-and-a-half ----- No, definitely incorrect. Top is probably a Model 2 .38 owing to the humpback, bottom a Model 1-1/2.
  23. I just checked all the major US distributors; I don't think it has been released on the market yet. Or it was released and discontinued? UPC 082442894188
  24. It would be nice if the forum software would allow users to block content from another user, so that the blocked user's posts and messages would not be displayed for the individual blocker. I've noticed several threads over time that get derailed and hostile, with a passive-aggressive or even downright insulting post calling out other users over a difference of opinion, not fact. Recently, I've put together that it is basically one user who is the instigator. That user's content really detracts from the otherwise friendly camaraderie on the forum. Hasn't happened to me, I just observe and I avoid commenting. I am not asking for sanctions against anyone, but if the option was there to automatically ignore someone displaying chronic, aggressive negativity, I believe it would improve the TGO user experience for everyone. Not all of us can resist responding to negativity. The regular baiting by this instigator is inevitably followed by a "F** you" from the users he insults. Any options?
