  1. Weekend bump to try to finish Xmas gifts.
  2. I noticed it immediately when you posted your hunting thread and picture. Nice work!
  3. Did the Black Friday ammo search. https://www.academy.com/p/monarch-9mm-luger-115-grain-fmj-centerfire-ammunition-250-rounds - used to be rebranded magtech. Internet is saying it’s now zsr. Have shot a few thousand of both, WWB level dirty but goes bang. 5% off w academy card. Don’t know this vendor. Free ship over $100, no tax. https://www.greentop.com/cci-0030-mini-mag-hv-rimfire-ammo-22-lr-cprn-40-grains-1235-fps/ 8cpr. https://www.greentop.com/magtech-9a-sport-shooting-pistol-ammo-9mm-fmj-115-gr-1135-fps-50/ 22cpr. Happy holiday weekend.
  4. Remember Covid, not enough for what they’ve got cooking up next. Usually gets a chuckle.
  5. I had stumbled up a bunch of extra parts when I was trying to find extra mags. The good news is that since people are printing them a few people are machining replacement parts. I tried to find a website I found quickly that had more or less a spare parts kit in a bag for $20. https://www.deltateamtactical.com/stainless-steel-raven-p-mp-model-raven-firing-pin-80896.html $5 for a firing pin isn’t too bad, I’m sure they whack you on shipping.
  6. I will pick these up tomorrow as well. Thanks.

I read this quickly and thought the “estimated 3,500” was amount of squirrels you had taken out. I then proceeded to picture a man I’d never met wearing a Davy Crockett hat next to a Genghis Kahn like pile of rodents just stacked as a warning to the others. Admittedly spent too much time trying to picture what a mound of dead tree rats would be in height in width, caloric intake on an average of 3-4 squirrels a day (factored in a standard 50 week year with two week vacation), how many batches you could make in a crockpot, etc. In other news, I am now officially not impressed with the new brand of coffee I bought after straying from my tried and true of over a decade. Best of luck!
  8. I’m surprised this is still here. I fear no one has disposable income anymore.
  9. Sending pm.
  10. Thanks for the response. My work finds me inside peoples homes, I’ve thought of getting it in the case that someone were to get injured or falsely accuse me of something inappropriate. I also do the occasion event job involving alcohol for some extra spending money and have thought that would protect me if someone got into some sort of accident and blanket sued everyone from the top down. The firearm portion is enough that I’ll heavily consider it when I shop my home owners insurance in the upcoming months. Thank you for for your input.
  11. Peejman can you give a little more info on the umbrella insurance if you don’t mind? What yours covers more or less. Have debated getting some for myself and didn’t even think for gun specific anything.
  12. Wanted to thank a member for the private message that the owner of shootingtargets7.com gave a shoutout to my post in his weekly email. I’ve actually supported him on another forum and he thanked me then as well. Clearly someone that cares about their small business. I wrote in past posts I go out of my way to support small businesses, give a vet trying to make it in a tough industry top consideration when purchasing steel. They’re built to last. Don’t order from a corporation, give your money to people who actually support your 2A values.

    Range Day

    Shot you a pm.
  14. Everything that BigK said. Never pay for shipping and tax. This means serious hunting and having a reserve stash of cash for when you find it. There are often deals that sell out in an hour as the internet is vast and market is competitive. Find the places that don’t charge tax and make a note. Top of my head: beebees, rivertown munitions, Gilbert or Gibson guns in KY come to mind. Sign up for those emails. Hit the free shipping threshold. Always buy bulk. You’ll pay a huge premium buying little by little. Better to save up some capital and then send it. Subscription service would be super cool but I fear shipping would ruin it on smaller batches. Surprised there’s not more of this though for people that shoot on a schedule and want peace of mind.
  15. If it falls through I’ll be backup.
  16. The words reliable and Turkish when talking shotguns are an oxymoron. Could get lucky, the majority of the internet has nothing good to say. https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/maverick-arms-88-vr-youth-pump-20ga-22-3-blk-synthetic-stock-black Maverick 88 is universally agreed upon as the best cheap shotgun. This is a youth version which may fit the wife decently if shorter arms. Same site has multiple lengths They’re a drop shipper. Think it’s usually $20 ship and no tax at least to TN. I have a couple of the 88s, 500 and 590 and no issues with them whether it be critters or shooting buck and slugs.
  17. https://shootingtargets7.com I’ve found this site to be the best. Small and vet owned, sends an email only once a week with something heavily discounted. I shop around a lot. Dragon targets has some decent deals every now and then. With all of this stuff getting free ship is the priority. I have not yet bought this from Dragon Targets, looks fun and like the modularity hoping it goes on sale for a holiday and then will buy (if you don’t care about buying “Halloween targets” for Christmas they’ll drop the price drastically after they do special runs). https://dragontargets.com/dragon-targets-tin-can-alley-target-set/?srsltid=AfmBOorWpnz1BKdQf_YvaWmbwWYjs5IuFXKBnWdOtDd08qAR8pe-3FNg I follow spec on all the ratings and my targets are all a few years old and no pitting. Just need to remind people not to shoot rimfires with anything but .22. I’ve had good luck with the self healing hangers and just use tposts. Have used conduit and tones scraps in a pinch but those are more temporary. People swear by fire hoses as well. Also stick welded some conduit just for s&g’s that are small ground level targets, rods I used weren’t right for application but have held. https://www.sbyproducts.com/product/fire-hose-roll-1-5-diameter-2-5-flat-/26?cs=true&cst=custom - good reviews.
  18. Saw this yesterday but was two busy to comment. My first thought was to comment “I want to be you when I grow up”. Then remembered how it hurts to get out of bed and had a brief existential crisis about where time went. That’s a beauty.
  19. Looking to gift my dad a pistol for Christmas due to arthritis and he’s in a ban state. Seeing if anyone moved here from a ban state or picked up mags in a trade. Ton of Glock mags to trade, regular capacity M&P, wide variety of ammo. Cash works as well. Thanks.
  20. Lot of M&Ps posted in the past month. Bumping.
  21. I actually think I have all the guns that I want at the moment. Seems weird to even think that let alone type it. I’m at the point where I’m tired of cleaning and storing. Casually looking for a stripped 10.5” upper just to mate with a spare lower, would trade a g20sf + ammo for a g40 for deer hunting provided Im confident I’d get an ethical shot. Have my ideal shotgun setups for various things, couple pricey 9mm and cheaper striker fired, deer rifles for short or long setups, good pocket carry setup and happy with all my .22s. Think I’m well rounded and not much else I’d like to try out or upgrade to. Still don’t have a crazy expensive AR but I don’t shoot much 5.56. If anything I’d just want to do a few direct mills or upgrade optics and a trigger install here and there. I guess I’m content for the moment and it feels good.
  22. SSA-E for +-$121. Free shipping! Sign up for text notifications for 10% off. Negates state theft. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/gun-parts-magazines/rifle-parts/rifle-triggers/geissele-super-semi-automatic-enhanced-ar15ar10-two-stage-rifle-trigger/p/1628399 Geissele didn’t do their blem sale this year, I think I paid this for their “blem” last year. Very good deal.
  23. Apparently people made some sort of 3d print prototype and mags are going for a premium. Special thanks to the member who took time out of his day to drop one off to me one winter day and wouldn’t accept anything in return. I have two of them, I just think they’re neat little Saturday night specials.
