  1. Have the same optic mounted on a 10mm PCC. Has held zero well, shooting offhand can hit a 3” plate from 40 yards consistently. Took a deer with it from 30 yards straight through the heart. Does the job well for a cheap optic. Bump for a decent budget optic.
  2. At a big game safari expo. Just bothered the beretta rep for a few minutes and he was more than generous with his time. I have a 1301. Honestly they feel the same shouldered, same sights, pic rail, charging handle, dust cover, capacity, the texturing is different and maybe better to handle in the field. The loading gate is easier to load, they took off some of the material vs. the 1301. Looks easier to tac load. It’s very light but so is the 1301. It doesn’t feel like 6 or whatever lbs. Didnt ask about the trigger, I know online some people complained about the weight but IMHO it’s a tactical shotgun… Negligible. It doesn’t have the BLINK system the 1301 has. Means it fires slower. Also means more cleaning in between use. (Beretta advertises the 1301 between 6-8000 rounds between cleaning) For $700 less than the 1301 (I remember reading beretta increased all prices 10-15%) I’d say it’s a great alt. Also the tiger strip design is pretty B.A. Hope this helps, just my .02 as a 1301 owner.
  3. I check ammo prices pretty much daily and haven’t seen anything close to $.20 a round. That’s a steal. Velocity ammo has pretty good deals, free shipping over $200. For the most part in the past few weeks you could get Magtech, S&B or Fiocchi all shipped to your door for about $.275 CPR after taxes. For what it’s worth, I was at a trade show for distributors of hunting and fishing downtown in January. I went up to Magtech and S&B booths, and the general consensus was 9mm may touch close to $.20 a round, but then with an election cycle will climb again. Seems people that actually shoot and are not the new pandemic gun owners stocked up, production caught up, or consumers are feeling inflation/recession. I was told .556 may break below $.40cpr, .22lr will remain where it is, and anything specialty hunting or Home Defense will remain pricey as most of production was focused on just getting range ammo In mass. This I what the distributors told me after some small talk so don’t hold me to it, seemed to be the consensus was that the sweet spot will be next 9 months before they ramp up election cycle fear. Pop pop I would recommend using ammoseek.com, and then filtering the search by shipping deal >8 or CF (conditional free). Luckily the days of trying to drive to local Walmart’s to find cci standard for $4 a box are over for me post pandemic, and now if I find a deal on a particular caliber I want I buy once and cry once in bulk and toss it in cans in the safe. I won’t be doing any more in person searching for a long time with gas prices unless it’s local FTF through a member here. Hope that helps.
  4. I loved justified. Probably top 5 series back when FX made good stuff without pandering in their later series. Im sure this reboot will be horrid, but: https://ew.com/tv/justified-city-primeval-showrunners-dave-andron-michael-dinner-preview/ Also, if you ever have the chance to razz a buddy or coworker that does something dumb, abrasive or dangerous and have a future washing machine/laundry/pocket bullet after shooting this line always gets a chuckle…
  5. https://www.primaryarms.com/andro-corp-industries-bravo-556-ar15-rifle-16in This usually pops up once a quarter. Reviews seem to be always solid for a budget AR. New members get $20 off, so after tax, background and ffl you’re looking at around $450 for a new AR. Will sell it out by end of day.
  6. https://www.egunco.com/product/radical-firearms-semi-automatic-7.62x39mm-ar-15-rifle-16-barrel-15-mission-first-tactical-furniture#product_detail It’s radical firearms. It’s also a +-$500 7.62 AR after factoring in the free shipping, tax and background/transfer fee. Don’t see it too often so posting if someone wants a range toy.
  7. Not the best quality. Local antique show. The octagon barrels looked pretty cool and solid compared to modern.
  8. I’ll take it. Peer pressure. Pm sent.
  9. Buy cheap and stack deep. No sales tax, and if someone’s close this is a deal that beats any shipped to your door price. Even with PSA and others previously running Oregon/WA and other state high capacity pre-ban deals. Food for thought: post sandy hook and Obama era gun panic these were elevated as much as $50 a mag in the Northeast.
  10. Eyed this for a minute. I’ll take it provided we can make our schedules work. Pm sent.
  11. Posted a deal and didn’t see that it wouldn’t ship to FFL, only in house pickup rendering it useless for TNGO.
  12. Ditto. Did the same. No need to ruin her night. Poured the lady a glass of wine and I went out to let the dog run. Actions have consequences, bury them under the jail.
  13. Daniel Shaver shooting. Police officer had “You’re f’d” on his rifle. Clearly a bad Apple. Every profession has them. Claimed PTSD, still getting a pension as far as I know. I’ve stayed away from this thread because I’ve tried to reserve judgment until the video comes out. That being said… After seeing the video of him skateboarding I’m fairly confident that even not being in peak physical shape I could fireman carry him over my back without worrying about it. I used to lift bundles of shingles or bags of mortar up scaffolding that weighed as much as him. Not even considering the fact that center of gravity on someone that tall and skinny should be relatively easy to take down and control.. Again, not peak physical shape… I believe in law and order, I have many LEO friends. That being said there’s no reason why someone who weighs 140-160lbs sopping wet should be jumped by 5 guys that look like they could be a DE at a DIII school. And beaten like that. I’m reserving judgement until the footage/details are released, but If they try to get cute and edit it than I feel like that’s clear cut malfeasance. I certainly didn’t agree with the Portland OR riots that lasted for three months, but I also was not okay with plain clothed jack boots with no identification grabbing people off the street and throwing them in a minivan. Again, all for law and order and a general supporter of policing policies as a law abiding citizen. That being said… if they release a redacted video I’ll have no choice but to believe it really was too heinous to show.
  14. Something to add, a lot of people buy the package and then sell off one of the barrels so they essentially have a 1/2 price shotgun. May take some searching.
  15. For 14 years old I don’t think you can go wrong with buying him the maverick 88 field and security package. Something he can scratch up and not feel terrible about. He could also use slugs for deer season if he really has the hunting bug. Generally deemed to hold up pretty well for the value and could have a back door/bedroom home defense shotgun if he moves out. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/049533310149 I know dahlonega in GA freq has them on sale. They’re a drop shipper that charges $25-30 on shipping. https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/maverick-arms-31014-88-field-and-security-combo-pump-12-gauge-black-synthetic-stock-blued?comboinstock Could get yourself some grandpa of the year points for around $300 shipped after tax. Another option is to try to find a barrel on eBay/gunbroker that is interchangeable. Just my .$.02, but for fourteen I think it’s a great tool to break your teeth in on. Hope this helps.
  16. I remembered seeing someone post WTB Try Pming: @will_reed and @https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/profile/25236-tgtmasterchuck/. Sorry for formatting on mobile.
  17. happened to have a deal pop up on a forum I follow. https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/cz-91229-p-01-omega-singledouble-9mm-3.8-141-blk-rubber-grip#product_detail Dahlone is one of those sites that you have to add to cart or email for the lowest price. Forum I follow said it was $530 plus shipping/tax for the omega. It’s like $515 if you want to go for the non omega. I understand if you’re trying to buy used, hope this helps.
  18. Mechanix gloves $5 in person at autozone. https://www.autozone.com/gloves/specialty-gloves/p/mechanix-wear-impact-resistant-gloves/1174982_0_0
  19. I’ll take it. PM sent
  20. I spend a decent amount of time researching and reading, and tracking prices of all things forum related. Someone started a post over Black Friday for deals, and I thought it was quite useful. It was a different pond than what I normally fished in, had a few Amazon alerts that I’m typically not privy to. I’m on a few dealer email lists, and scan a couple of different firearm/hunting forums. If we were to start a thread posting deals on firearms, ammo, hunting accessories and were very careful to not post any deals that would potentially undercut fairly recent posts of local transactions, would that be allowed? For example: I responded to a post about .22 handguns, and a member I met with and had talked a about .22s with posted about how he is a fan of the keltec cp33. PSA had a daily deal for a cp33 w/ 2 mags for $350 that quickly sold out. I thought of responding to the thread for anyone interested, but it quickly sold out before I could get home. I think of myself as a very generous but also financially frugal person. Occasionally I’ve benefitted from a few ammo deals that were clearly an operator error inputting the pricing in and were immediately corrected (hence why I have a case of .40 and no true dedicated .40 guns). If as a forum we were to come across such deals, would this go against any community guidelines by posting? Again, I think there should be a focus on being mindful of not undercutting someone trying to make a sale which could result in a grey area. Thoughts (maybe from mods)? Scotty
  21. I’ll take it. I tried to find a few magazines for a friend and they were pricey but it’s worth it for the memories. Dad will get a kick out of it. Pm Sent.
  22. This is one of the first pistols I broke my teeth in on. Friend of the family LEO. I’d love to buy for nostalgia. If anyone is hesitating like I am, buy it.
