  1. Deputies said that he also admitted to closing his eyes while he shot because he was scared and shooting as the suspects ran back to their car. I guess the side that says to repeat “I was in fear for my life against armed assailants, lawyer”, “lawyer”, “lawyer”or some form of that wins this round. No opinion either way but the fact that he admitted to police to having his eyes closed jumped off the page.
  2. I just got hit for a random 3 charges from Mexico. Uber eats subscription: $99.97 Then 3 Uber eats meals the next three days. I didn’t notice because the wordage and dollar amount and date was so close to the name of another financed furniture payment. Only noticed when Amex sent me an email saying “you used a line of credit but paid it off”. It was from a small secured credit card with an $800 limit from a local bank that was my first credit card to build credit for a house. Called and they clearly saw I hadn’t charged anything in 5 years to it. I’ve been waiting for them to close it without closing it myself and taking a credit hit just in case. That’s the kicker, five years and they didn’t close my card. I shredded that thing and tossed it in three separate receptacles years ago. I keep my debit card locked at all times and only manually unlock it when someone doesn’t take Amex. Usually have cash but if I ever get in a bind it’s piece of mind to just unfreeze and make a transaction and then lock. Coincidentally I logged into my iCloud and it said my password may be compromised. Here’s to dealing with tomorrow with trying to erase a digital footprint I purposefully try to make small. Will freeze everything with the big bureaus, even though I think I still have that frozen since when I bought my home. This is the only visibility I have on the internet. What a pain. Im a big fan of Amex, and would never enter any info online without that card. There’s a fee with it that I normally make back every year but the ease of calling and getting a representative coupled with an extended warranty is worth the peace of mind. Usually speak to a rep in 2 minutes, the investigation is mailed out and closed in under 2-3 weeks.
  3. Bump for a good deal.
  4. Glad I wasn’t the only one. Also curious. This gets shot every trip out. Favorite .22 I have. The comp kit is worth it, and at one time was with a waiting list for months before Black Friday. Good price.

  6. So much interest In. The last one. This is gone in 30 I’d guess.
  7. The only thing I will say about this example with the JFK JR. Reference is that immediately my mind went to agent provocateur. Paid actors are a thing, from planned parenthood to feds with tiki torches . Similar to the outing of the two gen-z kids on tok tok that were paid to be on tiktok as pro current administration. I think Q is low lying fruit for one side of the party to throw out as an insult. They started off as 4chan and internet, got a few crazies, and eventually drew a following. It’s similar to the documentary on Netflix “don’t f w cats”. One of the lines is don’t ever mess with the internet but a little more vulgar. They drew an audience, how big is imagine is minuscule as most people don’t have the time or mental instability to believe hook line and sinker. The sad part is I’ve had my elderly mother send me a few links during the pandemic and my mind immediately went “this is some qanon nonsense”. I copied and pasted and sent a gentle text to her to say that you can’t believe anything in print, media, and staged propaganda is a thing. In short, I think “Q” is an internet meme at some point. Easy ammo for one side to use as an insult just like how everyone’s a n*zi that they disagree with. If I ever have the time there’s like a 3 hour doc on HBO about them I’ve heard referenced on podcasts.
  8. Just want to post this as the poll for “TNGOers by age” showed there was a lot of seniors. My neighbor i shoot with and garden for was able to get a “senior” property tax freeze. Basically he didn’t have to do the last increase for Davidson county which I believe was In 2020… The other crime is home insurance No BS my home insurance has increased 50% since ‘18. Every year it seems I’m $500 short on my escrow (I realize it occurs I just don’t deal with resetting up the escrow). I shopped around home insurance a year ago, after this years 18% increase I need to get on it. Out of spite I get the daydream to throw a couple pounds of bacon in a shallow skillet on high and take the dog for a looong walk and build the house on the higher ground that gets more sun.
  9. https://www.eurooptic.com/benelli-nova-pump-black-synthetic-tactical-rifle-sight.aspx Benelli Nova Tactical 12-ga 3-1/2" 18.5" Black 4+1 Pump Action Shotgun w/ Open Rifle Sight 20050 $290 shipped.
  10. Had friends in town with the same Maverick that Eray has. For the out the door price that truck was awesome. In this lousy economy if I could have scooped it up for what he paid I would have. Current lineup: 02 Frontier Kingcab with 299,996 miles. This thread reminded me I need to take it for a cruise. Bought off of a buddy who took it hunting in all 50 states and worked at a body shop. 02 4 runner with 313-315kish on the odometer. Bought from an old boss who I watched put full synthetic, replace timing chains every 100k miles, etc. That’s our camper/occasional blind. 02 Accord V6 EX. Bought off a little old Dutch lady through marketplace with flawless maintenance records, made it to 190k on the odometer and until I smoked a deer (and over corrected into a tree) on back roads… was a delight. Now it’s a parts car for my daily. Daily driver: 08 accord with 260k. I drive a lot, get around 24 mpg with a heavy foot. The dog has destroyed the backseat, I can’t get this thing to die even with burning a quart or so of oil every 1500 miles. I buy from people I know, that know how to maintain cars. It drives her nuts that I have basically a used car lot in my driveway. It gives me peace of mind knowing I have options. Compromise. I don’t complain about the walk in closet vs my one rack and chest of socks and boxers. All that being said, I would clear out the driveway and make some more space for range days to have that maverick I spent the weekend in. 4 people fit very comfortable, enough giddy up, good mpg to justify a truck as a daily driver. Big enough bed to get me to Home Depot every spring for mulch and dirt, Sheetrock, odds and ends projects. I was a huge fan being the DD one night. For what it’s worth I spent two hours looking into trying to see what the OTD cost was and if it was worth my time to deal with tire kickers on FB marketplace. I like my privacy so that’s why things typically end up posted here for free/trade. I will now spend another half hour debating if I should play the dealership game.
  11. I like how you worded this post. Mrs and I have a similar agreement. She doesn’t touch my packages because they’re heavy, I don’t complain about Amazon showing up. Unspken agreement is she gets a night out and a decent meal for a new purchase. Threads like these are what I like about this site. Looking forward to hearing others opinions and gaining some insight.
  12. At the end of the day. That’s what the dollar is backed by. Lead. It’s the petrodollar. Our involvement across oceans. With China and Russia moving heavily off of USD since 2017 or so it’s not looking great… It’s late and I’m beat, but I remember reading about this years ago. Quick google showed something that wasn’t behind a paywall and not from a clearly biased news source. I don’t know anything about them so don’t shoot the messenger if it turns out they’re owned by “XYZ”. https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/russia-and-china-have-been-teaming-up-to-reduce-reliance-on-the-dollar-heres-how-its-going/
  13. Replied. Traded pending meet.
  14. https://www.harborfreight.com/metal-030-caliber-ammo-can-57767.html Popped up as 18% off on my feed. They honor rain checks if you do in store to save on shipping.
  15. Hey, This has been sitting in the closet. I want it out of the closet. Comes with a stand and remote, provide your own junk screws and bolts you have laying around (I had a cheap $25 Walmart mount and don’t want to dig around the toolbox). I don’t watch that much tv. She falls asleep to it which drives me nuts but that’s neither here nor there. Why this is here, is due to the fact she wanted to upgrade, I used one Amex point through Amazon and with the market for flat screen TVs I got a decent size and quality that fits the bedroom mounted for like $300 bucks. She was happy and considered it a win, and she doesn’t complain when random brown boxes that are heavy as hell get delivered to the door (brass). Compromise. I say free if you give me a good reason. Would be cool if this went to an after school program, some youth activity, you do outreach for low income/relocated/battered mothers, church, whatever. I’m not going to vet you. If you tell me your 10 year old needs to watch YouTube until 3 in the morning in his room… just lie to me. Ideally it’d be a great second monitor if you want for your office. https://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN40H5203AFXZA-specs If you would toss me a couple boxes of ammo that’d be ideal. Otherwise I’m not going to post on Facebook marketplace as I respect my privacy and time. Going to copy and paste the filler from my other for trade ads. If you have some junk in your safe you want to get rid of and the distance works let’s make a deal. Trade interests: Ammo: .22lr (ideally cci minimags) 9mm range ammo 10mm range ammo (.40 equivalent FPS would work, going through a PCC) .380 range ammo 5.56/.223 of any variety. Mags: 10-22! Standard 10rd or bx-25. Someone must have a couple 10 rounders lying in a junk box from when they loaned the rifle to a grandson or sold and found in the garage after the fact. G19 Sig p938 TX-22 Parts: Lowers VFG Radion Raptor or equal quality CH. I will only bump this twice prior to May 5th otherwise I’ll find my own charity to donate to.
  16. Have 700 or more rounds I’d be willing to part with. Bought a case to cycle HD rounds. Need to make some room in the safe. *This is not +p*. Purchased in the last six months. G19 Sig p938 TX-22 Parts: Lowers VFG Radion Raptor or equal quality CH. Given that this is typically $40+ with tax if you find it I’d be open to cheap handguns +- on my end. Toss me an offer. Random: Tools, gardening equipment/fert, feeder/hunting supplies, weed whacker, knock down targets or AR 500, open. Making room in the safe, if you have something sitting in yours for awhile let’s make a deal. Local to Goodlettsville, frequently downtown throughout the week and Brentwood area. 18. Pm sent with a Q.
  19. Can’t use it since I get the random drug test for work. Was the only thing that ever worked for me for migraines though I’ll say that. Now instead I get to take something in the opiate family… certainly not healthier and more harmful. Guys at work can go on a weekend bender and come in still fuzzy and hungover, but god forbid they smoked a joint in the privacy of their own home and they got popped or had an injury at work and their comp claim is denied and they ended up bankrupt. Lost my uncle to cancer, asked why he didn’t go get his medical card in a legally recreational state. My dad just pointed the finger gun and said because “that card” is more important to him and was such a PITA to obtain he wouldn’t risk losing his carry license. Shame. Glad that’s overturned now.
  20. https://www.kygunco.com/product/ruger-1151-1022-carbine-22-lr-18.5-black-10rd Cheapest I’ve seen in a bit. No tax outside of KY, free shipping and no CC fees. $300 w/ a transfer and background. Cheapest I’ve seen. Friend called me and wanted to sell me one and I threw out a price of $250 because it had a ton of rounds through it, he wanted $350 for one with a cheap scope and 500 rounds of mixed .22lr. He said he quoted off gunjoker $310 w/ no scope. Told him I wish I could help but we couldn’t get to a middle ground. Hope this helps if you haven’t already purchased.
  21. I think you meant to post to the deals and steals thread.
  22. I posted them. If anything I have a CC w a reputable brand and have luckily only had to do one chargeback when I got duped on a back order that never showed up. I’ll never use a debit for anything online. Totally get the paying a couple bucks more for a reputable sites, there are however a lot of people that just dropship stuff to make $.50-1.00 in bulk with a crappy website and they try to make there money on add-ons like candy in the checkout for Home Depot.
