Couldn’t tell you, just something I read online and a couple people agreed. Could just be internet gossip. It is kinda weird having to bang them all around to get them aligned as opposed to a ruger Mk series/glock44 where they just sit pretty on a drop in if you pull it down. Whenever I’m shooting with less experienced shooters they usually say something along the lines of “am I doing this right, or doesn’t look right”.

I believe the slide issues were from early 2020 models and rectified. Fired off about 9 mags of federal automatch yesterday (through the stock slide not competition) and had a few failures to feed where they went in practically sideways/vertical. Not a common ammo I run but seemed to not like it, although I did put the stock slide away fairly wet. CCI never an issue, just got a bunch of federal for dirt cheap and trying to Burn through it to make some room. Will stick to that in the 10/22 or bolt action. *Did just read that it seems that my failure may have been due to pulling the mag tab down to load. Apparently it likes it if you load them like a regular mag. I was heading out the door and just got the itch so fired off 9 mags in 5 mins. They are a little finicky to load* https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/tx22-competition-22lr-bk-5.4 - cheapest comp I’ve ever seen. $20 shipping. Another reminder that Taurus does 20% off 3-4x a year around holidays. Could get the regular slide/6 mags for 20% off. If you sign up for email reminders they typically don’t spam and only send maybe 2 a week and not obnoxious (looking at you PSA and opticplanet).
  11. Range USA (goodlettsville) has their house brand 115gr reman for $11 a box. Range officer said he’s seen thousands fired and saw a light primer and failure to feed out of thousands. Nice guy too. 3 box max per day. Goes until August 5th.
  12. You’ve always priced things very well for sellers. Off the top of my head I can think of a Ruger 5.56, riot 12 gauge, and a turkey gun of which I needed none but I considered for a bit because they were priced so well.
  13. Cheaper than MSRP: Code July25 gives you $25.00 off of most orders of $225.00 or more. Some restrictions apply. Just got this email from Taurus. 2x mags and 5x tandemkross mag extensions. $44. They occasionally have a sale on 6 mags and a pouch or something for $99. https://shoptaurus.com/shop-by-model/pistols/taurustx-22/tandemkross-wingman-5-ext-tx22-magazines-2pk-promo I didn’t have time to try out the +5 on mine. Took advantage of having some free labor to hang more targets and sight in a couple rifles/add accessories. If I have time to shoot in the next couple weeks I’ll try to remember to leave a review on if they worked as well as the stock mags.
  15. Beretta Bobcat .22. $250 after MIR. Last time I bought a beretta the rebate came within 6 weeks. Also available in .32. https://gunprime.com/products/beretta-21a-bobcat-22-lr-threaded-barrel-7-round-capacity-j212127
  16. Well put. I’d do the same exact route. May have before. I appreciate this forum for the ability to post fender bender advice, hobby opinions, and firearm talk and get solid unbiased opinions.
  17. This is a crazy deal. Just gave up midway trying to reorganize and inventory mine. GLWS!
  18. 1000 rds 5.56 PPU SS109 - steel tipped, $389, free ship, $427 w/tax to TN. Can also order 200 round for .40 CPR, free ship is at $200. https://www.sgammo.com/product/223-556mm-ammo/1000-round-case-556mm-62-grain-fmj-steel-core-ss109-brass-case-prvi-partizan- Cheapest I’ve seen PPU in ages. Can also add a single box of 50 9mm Winchester white for $7 as they do that to boost their ammoseek results to the top. Limit of one. It’s getting very hard to find XTAC shipped for this price, once every few months. Some internet scuttle about Serbia contemplating banning all firearms/munitions for upcoming war. Days of sun .40cpr are behind us it seems w/ current wars. Hope this helps.

I’m all for team Fanny pack! Am not old. Will 100% give away that you’re carrying to others that carry, but who cares. I’m a smoker, carrying my wallet in the front pocket due to back issues, and between sunglasses, pocket knife or nail clippers and a flash light the Fanny pack just makes sense. Let’s do it! Team Fanny pack.

Here’s the link for the mag extensions: https://shoptaurus.com/shop-by-model/pistols/taurustx-22/tandemkross-wingman-5-magazine-bumper-for-taurus-tx22 I will say the factory magazines are a little finicky in the fact that you need to kind of shake them a little at a close to horizontal angle to get them all to line up to feed. It’s second nature for me by now but newer shooters always say “this doesn’t look right”. They also feel super flimsy and cheaply made. Once you get the hang of it it’s a shake and a tap to align the bullets, tap and rack. Looking back on it I guess I’ve had this now since spring of 2021, cleaned tops 4 times and it goes out with me every time I shoot. I bought it second hand from my LGS as well. Early reviews commented on issues of the slide cracking or problems with the barrel. This thing has been a workhorse for me though, and glad I got the competition version to have two complete slides. By far gets the most use out of anything with a 10/22 taking second place. Awesome plinkers, good for those who are hesitant to shoot handguns to start on, overall no complaints.

Agreed. Have spoke on this before. If anyone is interested certain holidays Taurus runs a 20% off, the 4th is one of them it appears. "INDEPENDENCE2023”. https://shoptaurus.com/shop-by-model/pistols/taurustx-22/taurustx-22-competition-conversion-kit Comes out to $160 with free shipping. Mounted a cheap Bushnell dot with the coupon. Now that I’m posting this I realize that I bought the +5 Mag extensions and never installed, they’re buried in the safe somewhere. My best friend and his brother are in town and we’ll be shooting so will organize and find. Does anyone have any experience with the magazine extensions? Honestly mine ran so well I didn’t want to change it up I just added it to the cart as an impulse buy the last time I got a 20% off coupon. Have run pretty much all ammo through it and haven’t found a brand it doesn’t like as long as it’s not dirty. It gets a lot of use and once I get a FTF I know it’s time to clean.
  23. Thank you kindly. I will certainly DM you when I have a chance, heading to bed. Appreciate it. The guy I reached out to also recommended Woodcraft, seems like it would be a good resource.
