  1. Stephen paddock/Vegas shooting is an odd one.
  2. The Aguila .22 deal is still going. Surprised with that one. Same promo code SMS10. https://www.ammoplanet.com/products/cci-blazer-brass-9mm-115-grain-full-metal-jacket-round-nose-50-rounds https://www.ammoplanet.com/products/fiocchi-9mm-115-grain-full-metal-jacket-50-rounds Too busy atm to log in and give exact numbers but shipping is usually around $20. After the promo code you’re looking at .23-23.5CPR shipped to your foot for Fiocchi. No tax.
  3. https://www.gasbuddy.com/home I have a more or less farm truck I don’t use often. If it’s making a run I’ll do a quick search and map out where I’m heading and if it’s worth it. It hurt the other day when I thought to fill it @ $3.05 when on my route I found $2.89. I’ll never get that $3.20 back just due to a lack of prior planning.
  4. https://crateholdingsammo.com/products/copy-of-50-round-box-magtech-9mm-luger-ammo-115gr-fmj-mg9a Tiny boxes. $249.99 shipped for 1k rounds no tax.
  5. https://wgme.com/amp/news/local/what-is-maines-yellow-flag-law They actually have a yellow flag law.
  6. I’ll say this. Maine is BY FAR the most pro-2A state in the northeast. I’ve spent a lot of time in this area particularly, southern Maine is very liberal and gets a ton of transplants with money who bring their vote. Portland ME (maybe 40 min drive) has every lawn sign and window decal/flag flown that you would expect of Portland OR. Lewiston is a bit more working class. All that being said, Maine is yankee rednecks. They’re just rednecks with snowmobiles. Maine in general has the quality of life and small town living that the south has. This is an awful situation. But knowing the area I don’t understand how with 100 people present there wasn’t at least a few people with a CCW who at least would have tried to help. I spent a few minutes trying to see if the alley was a GF zone, couldn’t find anything. Maine has very, very friendly gun laws especially for the north and a highly armed population with some of the countries smallest gun violence. That’s the one thing that stood out to me was I would figure there would be more than a couple of good ol’ boys (that weren’t intoxicated) and were legally carrying in am establishment that happened to serve alcohol. Not saying that they would have saved the day against a trained RSO with a rifle but immediately my brain thought it was odd there was no resistance.
  7. https://www.recoilgunworks.com/glock-17-9mm-gen5-33rd-magazine/ 33 rd double stack Glock OEM $28, limit 5, $5 ship. Also have standard g19 mags for $20.
  8. I’ll second this. I reached out via text I want to say around Christmas time last year when he was posting a few riot guns. I gave him a heads up that he posted very far undervalue and he responded along the lines of “TNGO has been good to me and want to pass it on to others”. Always had great deals and easy meets. Would love to deal with again, whenever I see his name pop up I hang around and see if there will be multiple posts. Bump.
  9. It would be awesome if they doubled down and followed in MO’s footsteps and did not tax on ALL ammo and firearms. As well as diapers and feminine hygiene products. https://fox2now.com/news/missouri/missouri-senate-approves-to-cut-taxes-on-guns-ammo-diapers-feminine-hygiene-products/amp/
  10. That was way longer than I thought it would be. Almost therapeutic to get that off my chest and write my thoughts down. Sorry for the rambling
  11. I was a +- 9 handicap at 12 years old. I used to sneak a few holes in as the sun came up before school, I’d pitch and putt anywhere I could. I was surgical with a 64 degree wedge, solid short game and that old tin cup quote about the 7 iron applied. My grandmother worked at the course and my confirmation sponsor owned another one so I had a lot of free golf which was fortunate. I love the game of golf. 8 years old I used to with permission snake out balls from the ponds, clean them up, load them into a wagon and sell them with lemonade. Once in awhile I’d load them in the washing machine and the neighborhood sounded like the Russians were marching in with the clang and clatter. On hot days the price of lemonade may have increased a few cents. I earned a minimum of $50 a day and was out there most weekends. Good scratch for a young kid to make. I went to college with quite a bit of my original golf ball/lemonade stand money (that I didn’t blow on baseball cards or autograph memorabilia) By 12 years old I had a whole setup that looked semi professional. I would sit on the back nine and occasionally wager people for closest to the pin on a short par 3. Golf was very good to me when I was younger, kept me disciplined, focused. Fast forward to 16-17, I’ve been a great young player on the golf team a couple years and now post puberty. I’ve traveled around and played weekend tournaments with the same circuit for awhile and one a bit of pro shop money. Dropped 20 lbs and grew a bit, had an incurable duck hook. Probably mental. Went to a swing doctor, hit the range until I blistered. Talked to course pros. Couldn’t cure it, eventually didn’t trust myself with anything more than a 5 wood. I slowly moved up starting slots on the team, barely getting a spot as a non-alternate. During a round my coach was watching, 100 yard shot with 70 yards of water and a very large green. Should be a light PW, easy two putt par on a hole I played a hundred times. First one, caught fat and hit in the drink. Second one, short and kicked in the drink. Third one I sculled so poorly it ended up in the parking lot. I lost my temper as 16 year olds do. I snapped the wedge and tossed it. Went to my bag and snapped my 9. I walked up to the coach rage crying and told him I quit. I really respected him and had known him a long time from being around the course, I had my mind made up though. I went from beating up on kids in summer tournaments and taking their “chore money” (I didn’t get paid to do chores) in skins all my life to getting beaten by them. Mentally I wasn’t there. I finished the round and I focused on basketball. I didn’t touch a club for a decade except for hitting balls in the woods, or the occasional pitch and putt. Fast forward to moving down here and trying to make friends I went out with a guy I met. I shot bogey golf honestly without mulligans. I found myself instantly getting the competitive itch and I had to tell myself that I didn’t want the stress in my life again. Now, I go out every once in awhile with some guys. One younger kid whose game has really improved texts me videos and his swing sessions and gets a kick out of it. He caught the bug and I like hearing how excited he is telling me his improvements on breaking 100, then 90. I did recently buy a set of old 90’s titleist DCI blade irons I used growing up. They sit in the truck and every once in awhile I’ll hit the range to blow off stress or just nail some in the backyard. If I play now I don’t even take a score card, I don’t let it get to me, and I usually pickup around hole 16 and just enjoy the ride and camaraderie. When I get into something I go full on. After golf it was shooting pool for hours upon hours. After pool it was darts. Shooting. Self admitted workaholic. If I’m dieting I’ve got meals and macros weighed and dialed in by the ounce/calorie. I can say with 100% confidence that golf is a wonderful game. I just know how hard and competitive I am with myself and I can’t catch the bug again. I’ll always treat it as a nice day in the sun and will play socially, I don’t want to get to the point where I’m hitting range balls in the dark or playing 36 holes. I have to fight the urge every time I even look at a club. I will say it was nice when all the guys in the shop were hitting balls into the woods and generally hacking and duffing most. I walked up and nailed a dozen or so dead straight 180 yard 6-irons. Got to talk some smack for the day. The ride home I thought about getting the bag out and then I snapped out of it and remembered shooting is expensive enough and less frustrating for me. I love the game, I love that other people love the game. I just don’t want to get back into it!
  12. Late-night leftover lamb lollipops w/ the lady. Alliteration.
  13. Very good deal. GLWS. Any Nashville trip planned within 60 miles I’ll bite.
  14. Appreciate the heads up. Lot of places have them for $280 after rebate but FFL fee + shipping + tax adds a bit. Hoping my local has then for $400ish OTD, will stop by first week of Nov.
  15. Just from reading a bit last night it seems chuck and defenders sentiments are at least what most of the internet says. Lot of polymer and plastic. For the price I’d rather keltec as well.
  16. Bump to see if anyone has one to offload or has seen one locally. Thanks!
  17. https://tombstonetactical.com/product/smith-wesson-resonse-carbine-9mm-16.25-tb-2-20rd-mags-blk-rifle $700 shipped was the first price I saw.
  18. Any chance you would ship if costs were covered?
  19. I was just talking less than two minutes ago how lamb is by far my favorite meat. The price is ridiculously expensive for decent cuts. Just polished off two lbs of lollipops. Costco sells a rack of lamb (lollipops) or shoulder usually on sale for $30. It’s enough for two people to feast. They also sell “spears” (I forget what ut it actually is) which I think is the vertebrae. Those bones will make the best broth that is unbelievably rich, I save all my white and dark meat bones and even ask for the leg bones off of deer at the processor to make bone broth for my dog. Crack them open, broil them for an hour to get the extra cartridge or collagen activated, drop em in a pot with vegetable trims and make some stock. Good for hearty stews and cheap tough cuts. If you go to some of the markets off of Charlotte since there’s a high influx of Egyptian and Kurd population you can get decent pricing on cuts of lamb/goat, goat is a bit gamier. They serve it traditionally with a mint sugar jelly which isn’t for me but is tasty. Marinade:Worcestershire, dry red, garlic rose Mary and thyme overnight. Either grill em high 3 minutes on each side or broil them basting constantly. Maybe too much information, but I absolutely love lamb. It’s a great date night meal for a special occasion and pairs nice w/ a Pinot noir if you’re into that.
  20. https://www.kygunco.com/product/anderson-lower-builders-kit-am-15-stripped-lower-utility-builders-kit-5.56 Assuming a $30 transfer fee it’s $378 shipped.
  21. I can’t help you with your question. However, I do have a buddy who is a swamp redneck from FL. He doesn’t go for the head as he claims squirrel brains and eggs sautéed in garlic and butter is a delicacy. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9288058/ - thought he was pulling my leg.
  22. https://www.ammoplanet.com/products/aguila-22-super-extra-lead-bullet-box?noemail 5000 rounds shipped to my door for $210. Remove shipping protection and just use a CC for chargebacks if something happens. SMS10 for promo code knocks off 10%. I wouldn’t hesitate on this one. If anyone’s see. 5.56 prices last week since the conflict people are buying and 9mm is creeping up too. Turkish clones have increased. I feel the bottom was last couple weeks for ammo prices and now we’ll catch the presidential cycle increases. Seems everything PSA normally runs from complete/uppers/lowers/ammo has increased 10-15% since Israel. I don’t claim to know anymore than anyone else does but 4.1 CPR is 4.1 CPR.
  23. I’ll take ‘em. Pm sent.
  24. Shot you a PM.
  25. Thanks so much for the fast response. That’s perfect. Much appreciated, thanks for all you do.
