TWRA made quite a big deal about this, but I don’t get it. Let’s say you buy one in June instead of March. Next year it expires in June instead of the end of February. In a year, it still expires. You got 3 free months the first year, but I don’t see any advantage after that. Am I missing something?

Yep. Being relatively thin and flat doesn't hurt either. I prefer to shoot a revolver, but to carry a semi auto.

A 5" 1911 carries and conceals much better than a revolver in my opinion.

Me either.^^^ I have no problem buying a non working firearm at a discounted price as long as the seller is honest and upfront about it. I’d love to tinker with that rifle and get it working again. It’s like working a puzzle. I doubt I’m the only one.
