Nice day for sure, sir! Hopefully your bike will come along shortly. Not exactly what you wanted, but my kid is about to sell a Suzuki S40 Boulevard with 4k miles. A spectacular beginner street bike that I still enjoy riding. A 650cc 1 cylinder engine is certainly unique.

I’ve become accustomed to it. A full faced helmet does seem to help.

Nice riding weather today. Wife was a skeptical at first, but now she’s started to ask if we can go riding. We’re really enjoying the FatBoy now. We’re going to try to do a 2-3 day trip on it this summer. I sure hope it goes well.

I don’t understand the concept of consolidating calibers at all. If I want a rifle, I buy it. Every gun guy should have at least one Garand. After all, it is the greatest battle implement ever devised. It really isn’t a big deal to buy ammo or reloading components/dies for another caliber. Having a diversified armament may well pay dividends in the future. If it’s a decent rifle, and the price is realistic, buy the damned thing! Furthermore, you’ll be helping out a widow. I think I remember reading something in the Bible about that.

You overlooked the real root cause of the current labor shortage. It is now possible to live comfortably in our country without ever doing anything constructive. Cut off the government teat, and the labor shortage will end immediately.

Pre internet, I called Remington and they mailed me a photocopy depicting how to disassemble/reassemble a model 51. I would have never gotten one apart and back together without it.
