  1. Today was a good day for butchering. Tomorrow looks promising for deer hunting again, as does the rest of the week. Good luck everybody!
  2. Been a long time since I was there.
  3. Wow! I just don’t have that sort of traveling bone in my body. I expect any of those trips would be a lot of fun, but I could never see myself doing something like that.
  4. I’m retired. I just don’t have that sort of dedication.
  5. OK. I’m a motorcycle owner. ^^^OldIronFan is a rider.^^^ My hat’s off to you, sir, and thanks for sharing your trip with us. My rear end hurts just thinking about it!
  6. Ugly rack; big buck.
  7. You are correct, sir. I only saw the good side of his rack, and he was chasing a doe, so I didn’t have time for judging; just shooting. Big buck; ugly rack. Weather was perfect. I’ll take it!
  8. This sounds more reasonable, but a house full of people can sure run up the bill washing clothes and heating water for showers and such. I bet his water bill is crazy too!
  9. The coming week looks promising.
  10. Not something I’d likely pursue, but I’d probably surprise you at what I’d pay for a set of every model and variation of Hi Point pistol manufactured to date. That would be a very unique collection in the future, and pay homage to an American company with the ability to manufacture inexpensive yet reliable weapons. I had a great uncle who collected clocks. Not Glocks…clocks! Made no sense to me, but he was very proud of his large garage packed full of rare, expensive, and downright odd timepieces of yore.
  11. I am going to assume you are referring to Smith and Wesson revolvers. There isn’t a clear and concise answer to your question. I expect you already knew this. Often times, older means more valuable. Sometimes, a certain -number will be more desirable due to scarcity. Sometimes the newer, updated gun is the better quality firearm, and thus more desirable. Quality, condition, desirability, and scarcity are what you’re looking for. Buy what you like and don’t sweat the small stuff.
  12. Yeah, but not THAT kind of difference. Wow!!!
  13. Yes sir! I see them getting better. That’s heading in the right direction. I like Clark Lea. Those Wildcats are shocked for sure!
  14. Just got back in from a ride. It looks like it might be the last for a few days. Turns out 50 degrees and moonlight make for perfect riding conditions if you’re wearing leather. I’ve outgrown a lot, but riding bikes is a fire that so far hasn’t dimmed at all.
  15. Supposed to be really windy too. I guess I just want perfection.
  16. Almost done turning the garden spot for next year yesterday when, Bam! The front wheel falls off my tractor! That’ll wake you up! I went to the parts house and got a new bearing. Got her back in action just before dark and finished plowing. Never had that happen before!
  17. Are we ever going to get any? Sure, I could find a deer. Probably could shoot a deer. But then what? I don’t have a walk in cooler. I’m not butchering one covered in flies. It was summertime, now it’s hurricane season. Maybe it’ll improve next week.
  18. You’d be money ahead to sell it and buy a nice one.
  19. Am I gonna have to come shoot it??!!?
  20. ^^^Now there’s a man who knows how to catch fish!!!^^^
  21. Unless he found something wrong, those are the people who piss me off.
  22. I’m guessing he’d like to run it through Carfax to see if there are any reported accidents that have been repaired. I don’t know what harm someone could do with your VIN number. They could get it looking through your windshield at the WalMart parking lot.
  23. Easy fix, but that rifle about blew up! Could have been a barrel obstruction, bad ammo, or something else possibly. I’d want to find out why this happened before shooting it again.
  24. No idea. I’m sticking to the dollar cost averaging theory of investing. Buy a specific amount each month. Works for me!
