  1. My grandfather had a show ready, all original 1972 Chevy pickup with 100k miles, factory air, factory paint, factory everything…like friggin new!!! He was talking about selling it. I told him I’d buy it. He wouldn’t sell it to me as it was old and might not be reliable. He pulled it out by the road on Charlotte Pike where they lived with a for sale sign on it that had a price of $3500. He didn’t make it back to the house before somebody stopped and bought it! He later bought a 73 Chevy pickup in the same condition. Probably the only one left in the world that wasn’t rusted out. He later offered to sell it to me. I declined. I don’t think I ever successfully made him understand the difference.
  2. It’s as much a Christmas movie as any of the crap playing on the Hallmark channel.
  3. Yep. I’m not saying it isn’t local, but the salt is hauled in each year from out of state. All the salt bins I’m aware of are fenced and the gate locked when they are unoccupied.
  4. I wish I could have as high an opinion of my fellow man as you do.
  5. I wouldn’t trade a pack of hot dogs for it based on the feeble description that pic provides.
  6. Looks like $100 tops. As for make and model, I have no clue except I believe it is a shotgun.
  7. These will be for target loads in a model 52 Smith and Wesson. I think pure lead will work. If not, he has some fun to add.
  8. Back at ya, ol’ buddy! I hope you have a good one.
  9. What a timely thread. Dad’s birthday is coming up, and I’d like to buy him some pure lead for casting 38 wadcutters. Is there anyone in Middle Tennessee or Southern Kentucky who sells such ingots or something similar? ETA: I found some locally for $1.50 per lb. Unless you know of a much better deal, I’ll probably go with this.
  10. I guess my statement was poorly worded. Ayoob would be a good place to start. I didn’t really expect a full dissertation. Thanks for the response.
  11. Share you advice with us if you’d be so kind.
  12. Greetings from Macon County.
  13. Welcome to the forum, sir!
  14. Welcome aboard from a fellow old school guy!
  15. I wasn’t aware he moved.
  16. I haven’t seen him in the news in a long time. Is he dead?
  17. Assuming they aren’t misused today doesn’t prevent them from being misused in the future. Once that camel gets his nose under the tent, the rest of him will surely follow.
  18. Now that’s a blast from the past!!!
  19. Hand loading or 44 Special are your answers. A 200 grain lead bullet atop a small load of Bullseye powder will turn that kicking mule into a docile plinker.
  20. Old Hickory is my kitchen knife of choice, but they don’t come with stainless handles nor serrated blades.
  21. I’m more a fan of realistic movies…you know…like Machete.
  22. Marijuana sloth is the one I’m holding out for.
  23. Sir, I would purchase the entire lot, as would many other folks. The thing is, I would not give you retail price for them. To get that, you must put n some time and effort in determining what that is and who you can find that would pay retail for each individual piece. If you have the time, that is where the money is. If you just want them gone, there are folks like me out there who would be willing to accommodate you.
  24. NCIS recently had an episode with the same plot. This was the name they called the bear.
