Don't go to any trouble on my account. I was trying to be helpful. Since there are no others who've commented on this thread, it was probably a bad idea. Are there any other fans of summer hats out there? Feel free to chime in.

I prefer light colors; perhaps a light denim or tan front with a white mesh back? I'd suggest that you see how much of a demand there is for them before having them made. I'm only wanting three or four, not a case. Thanks for your timely response.I'd further suggest that camo would probably be a big seller in summer and winter configurations. Thanks again, Greg

I might be the only one, but I'd probably buy some summer hats it you could have one produced. As I work outdoors, I prefer one in a light color with mesh backing. The solid canvas material hats look great, but are very hot in the summer sun. Just a thought.

I don't know what you are expecting, but you'll be hard pressed to improve on that group very much.....Good shootin!!!

Our local WalMart actually has several knowledgeable and helpful employees manning the Sporting Goods counter. They also just finished a new display area for the guns, which makes me think they're in no hurry to stop selling guns. You made a wise move ordering the driver license with your new address. I know the laws regarding them, and so do you. You'd be surprised, however, how many police don't!:doh:A peeing match with a police officer regarding your current address would make your WalMart visit seem like a day at the beach.

Pizza is like sex.......even when it's bad, it's still pretty good!

I once stopped a speeding trooper. We were working on the road, and he made several trips through the job site at a very high rate of speed to make traffic stops. When he pulled one truck over, I pulled in behind him and told him he needed to quit speeding through the work zone before he got someone killed. The trooper was visibly angry and embarrassed, the truck driver was trying franticly to hold back his laughter, but most importantly, the trooper no longer speeded through the work zone. His badge would not protect him from hitting a dump truck, nor would it prevent him from running over one of the workers. A badge doesn't make a man perfect.

Thanks guys. My wife says I'm antisocial...whatever that means.

Let me clarify a bit. Everyone was very nice to me and my familly, and the kids did indeed get a photo with Louie. What happened was that the stadium was filled to about 25% capacity, and some little boys would go sit in the seats behind the dugout; vacant seats. The ushers would come down and make them go back to their assigned seats. This happened repeadedly throughout the whole game with different children. The seats were the same price as the ones' the boys had tickets for. I would think you would overlook that kind of thing in order to show the kids a good time so the'd want to come back. Maybe I'm misguided. That never happens at a Sounds game. I enjoyed the game otherwise, and intend to go back. I doubt all the little boys who were chased out of the empty seats feel the same, however.

"I try, but it's hard when you're this damn pretty. " Yeah! That's pretty much the kind of thing I'm trying to avoid. Thanks.

The young man was simply doing his job. Reread your post and put yourself in the WalMart employee's position. He was likely a lot nicer to you than I'd have been. You should direct your anger to your elected politicians who make the laws instead of the guy making minimum wage who merely has to obey them. Think about what kind of impression you are making as a gun owner when you act that way. We really don't need any more bad press.

Thanks. Too many would have been an a$$ about it, and probably converted her into an antigun person. We already have plenty of those.

"I recommend taking in a Lookouts game. Nice stadium," That was the main reason we took this trip....the ushers sure were jerks....what's up with that? Most minor league stadiums I've been to, the staff was really nice. These guys act like they don't care if you ever come back or not.

Grind a flat spot on the side of the pipe you wish to drill holes in. The flat area should be in a straight line, and will be easier to start a bit in as opposed to the radiused surface of the pipe.

Never had that happen...and I've fired a BUNCH of 22 rounds.

I too would like to know of a good course my wife and I could take. I don't wish to become Dirty Harry, I simply wish to be more proficient with a handgun. I also don't want to listen to how intelligent and tough my instructor is. I'm just looking for a knowledgeable person to help me shoot better. Thanks.

My family and I just got back from a weekend in Chattanooga. We've been there several times in the past few years. I would suggest it for a nice weekend getaway that isn't too far from home. We always have a great time there. The people are nice, the downtown area is great to visit, and my kids really enjoy the Lake Winnie amusement park. Check it out when you get a chance.

How bout a 2" J frame Smith and Wesson 22 or 22 magnum? Maybe with a scandium frame. It covers all the requirements but semi auto.

I'd buy a corresponding rifle and shoot the ammo.

I could probably take it off your hands. The 7x57, or 7mm Mauser was a standard chambering in millions of 98 and earlier Mauser military rifles. It is a fine deer cartridge in it's own right, and is the father case of other rounds such as the 257 Roberts. It is an intermediate length cartridge; longer than the 308, yet shorter than the 30-06. As many rifles as were chambered for this fine round, ammo has become somewhat scarce.
