  1. What is "bigoted" about it? Do people no longer have a sense of humor? How many of these have you NOT actually seen in a Wal Mart? I agree with Arko...a WalMart in paradise is still WalMart!
  2. Summit Goliath SS I love my Summit Goliath climbing stand!! It has plenty of room, is very stable and comfortable, and is light enough to comfortably backpack for miles. If somthing ever happens to it, I would definitely buy another.

    Smith.. 642

I enjoy shooting my 642. How would one cause a blister on your thumb?
  4. What diameter are the bullets?
  5. ....but you DO need primers.
  6. I'd be in favor of such a regulation. It seems to me that the quality of bucks I'm seeing has been getting gradually better since the harvest limit was cut a few years ago. I wouldn't even be opposed to you having to check in a doe before you were allowed to shoot a buck. However, if any such restrictions were placed, I'd like to see them waived for the juvenile hunts.
  7. I'm thinking about getting one for measuring powder. I've always used a balance beam scale. It works fine, but I thought the electronic one would be more convenient. What words of wisdom do you have for me on the subject? Which model and brand would you reccommend and why?
  8. My wife has a selection of Galco purses. They are quite expensive, but very well made purses. I suspect that with the right marketing, these purses would become popular in non conceal carry versions as well.
  9. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to purchase or possess a handgun if you are under 21.
  10. If it doesn't have a lock, I'd jump on it!
  11. You scored: 9 / 10 Total points: 90
  12. Yes. The seating dies, when properly set, will taper crimp and seat the bullet all in one operation. I would recommend you crimp ALL handgun ammo. Most high power rifle bullets have ample surface area to resist movement from handling and recoil without crimping. Many pistol projectiles do not. Your die instructions should outline the process of ajusting your dies to do this. It takes longer to explain than it does to perform.
  13. Mine isn't real elaborate. It is built completely of 2x4 lumber and is solid. It is in a corner of my basement.
  14. I, for one, applaud you for asking the question in the original post. A lot of guys are embarrassed to admit they aren't familiar with something like that. We all started somewhere. I think a good place to start is to take a local hunter safety education course. You will learn some good info, and get to meet your local game warden to boot. Be nice to him and he might just point you in the direction of some prime hunting real estate. You can pick up a lot of misinformation from the local blowhards lounging around at the local gun shop. You will learn a lot by simply spending time in the field. I wish you luck, and hope you find it as peaceful and enjoyable as I do. When you figure it out, something more fun is to take a child. Nothing in the world gets a young boy more excited than when the first buck walks out in front of him. It is something to behold.
  15. I bought them for both my boys. The magazines alone will eventually be worth the price. My oldest is 10, and ahs already gotten quite a bit of use from his license.
  16. You're lucky.....I can never seem to find anyone at the Lebanon Wal Mart who can even locate the keys to the ammo cabinet!
  17. I just look in the ammo cabinet.

    Carcano

I have one, but as the meager supply of ammo I recieved with it is more valuable than the rifle, I haven't had the heart to fire it.
  19. I always enjoy Lake Winnie, and you could nearly BUY Lake Winnie for what a trip to Dollywood would cost ya.
  20. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.....Heros in a halfshell!
  21. Powder - ? Primer - ? Bullets - ? Powder 18-22 per pound Bullets 10-30 per 100 Primers PRICELESS!!!!!!
  22. Sorry, I forgot this was in the handgun section, so I'll tell you about my $70 model 10 Smith and Wesson. It was an old police turn in, and is the most accurate recolver I own.
  23. I've got an old Mexican Mauser in 7x57. I paid $25 for it. I sporterized, and mounted a weaver scope on it. It shoots pretty good, and I have about $40 in it all total. It is my rainy day deer rifle. I really like it, and at $40, it should qualify as cheap.
