  1. Whatever's handy. I usually shoot wadcutters in mine. Would you want to be shot with a 38 wadcutter? I don't!!!
  2. Lee Challenger Breech Lock Single Stage Press Anniversary Kit - MidwayUSA Here's what I started with 15 years ago. Guess what....I still use it. You'll need other items, but this package includes a good percentage of what you'll need.
  3. You get what you pay for. I'd suggest you shuck out a few more bucks and buy a used, quality firearm. You be glad you did in the future.
  4. Wow! It looks like the deglazer is $6.99. They have a product called all in one which is a dye and finish combined. I've not used this product, but it is on sale for $6.99 as well. Looks like around $15 will fill the bill. That and a little work. I'll warn you; I never go in that store without spending at least $150! Good luck. Show us how it turns out.
  5. Tandy also sells a deglazer that will take care of this. Take your holster to the store and tell them what you are wanting to accomplish. They will be happy to answer your questions. I'll warn you, however, this stuff is expensive. You might be as cheap to buy a black holster.
  6. GO to Tandy Leather on Nolensville road and pick up a bottle of Feibing's leather dye. It will do what you want.
  7. You did good. I spent a freaking fortune on that stuff several years ago!
  8. That's nice, but that's a high dollar item. I'd suggest you put it on ebay...especially the trains and accessories.
  9. I guess. One side chamfers the inside of the case mouth and the other end chamfers the outside.
  10. Woops! That isn't work safe material. Go to youtube and look for Todd Schnieder and Statistician's Blues.
  11. No. You pobably should get professional help.
  12. Before you try loading the 30-06s, you need a case trimmer and a case mouth beveling tool. A small but necessary investment. The 06 is what the 4064 powder was likely purchased for.
  13. It reminds me of my wife shooting one of my M1 Carbines....."honey, I don't have an ammunition sponser!"
  14. I carry a 642 Smith and Wesson 38spl revolver OWB when possible, and otherwise, in a pocket holster. I can highly recommend one.
  15. Man, that's nice! I've an old, 1917 Brazilian contract 45acp. If yours shoots as good as mine, and I'll bet it does, you will love it!
  16. Springfield 19!!, That is a good looking engraved Smith. Smith and Wesson has a full time historian named Roy Jinks. You need to get him to write you a letter regarding the gun. If it is a factory engraved piece, the letter will be worth many times it's price. I sure hope you have the correct grips for it, as those are for a later model.
  17. It would be either, and I'd much prefer it to a new one. $500 ain't that bad a price if it is in very good condition. The 3" usually command a premium over the 1-7/8". Is it a square or round butt?
  18. I believe "model of 1988" was a company designation for the 625. It would include all dash numbers.
  19. Welcome. I've already learned something from you. I had no idea there were scopes mounts for Mausers that didn't require drilling, tapping, and forging the bolt handle.
