  1. MidwayUSA - The page you were looking for could not be found...*** Midway has them.
  2. Have you checked with The Reloader's Bench in Mt. Juliet? That is pretty common brass.
  3. I'll nearly guarantee some moron put a 100 grains of some smokeless powder in it. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!! Those rifles WERE designed to shoot smokeless powder. They list approved loads on the paper you posted. Guns aren't idiot proof. I expected this to happen when I first read of Savage selling those muzzleloaders. I wish I'd have purchased one before they quit making them.
  4. Why?
  5. Since it doesn't have +p written on it, everyone will tell you not to shoot it. It won't hurt the gun, but I wouldn't shoot a big bunch of them in it, as it will eventually loosen up, as it would if you shot enough regular 38s in it. I've fired +p ammo in model 36s and even 37s with no ill effects.
  6. I don't know. I just saw it on another forum and couldn't help myself.
  7. Barely used, low round count. Just like a new one. only $499.95:D
  8. Impossible Shots Andy Griffith
  9. Front sight and squeeze. Your targets, while not competition quality, will give you a score of 100% on the HCP permit course if they haven't changed it since I took it.
  10. That's about all you are going to get. If you want more accuracy than that, measure every load with a balance beam scale. You won;t likely notice the difference +-.1 will give under normal shooting conditions. If you are in benchrest competition, however, it would be a different story.
  11. They look like 3/4" plywood. Could be thicker. I'll try to remember and check sometime. They haven't bowed so far.
  12. Blazing Saddles!
  13. Thanks. It was actually an old, heavy plywood cabinet in our old office before we moved. It was going to be thrown away, so I took it home and bolted it to the floor so you couldn't turn it over on yourself, as it is very heavy. I've been told that a steel cabinet is not the best thing to store powder and ammo in in the event of a fire, as they turn into a giant grenede. The wood wouldn't build near the pressure before coming apart.
  14. I have a 52 CZ that will occasionally fire when the decocker lever is depressed, and have a dent in my gunsafe to prove it.
  15. As for the caliber conversion, I'd suggest you buy two guns if you want two calibers. I also agree with most everybody else in that the only reliable safety is between your ears. I'd suggest you go to range and rent several possible pistols and try them. You also might find someone on this forum in your area who'd let you fire some of theirs. Once you decide on one, Learn how it works. That alone will make you rethink the importance of a safety. I carry a revolver. It has no safety, and has never presented a problem.
  16. I've found that the less people know about me and the less attention I draw to myself, the better off I am. I find this true in almost all aspects of life; not just carying a gun.
  17. LOL! As long as you don't start telling us how we should do things like they do in Chicago, we'll all get along fine. There was a girl who moved in down the road from me when I was a child who came from Michigan. She confessed to me that she was amazed to see that we actually wore shoes. I've never forgotten that. It struck me as funny.
  18. I like Shooting Times better than most. I'd really rather read the opinions of you guys here, as you all aren't bought and paid for by gun manufacturers. Just normal, everyday guys with honest opinions about outta the box guns in real world situations.
  19. Your wife won't get any happier about you dragging gun related paraphernalia in the house.
  20. It don't get any better.
  21. You are exactly right. DO NOT ever exceed the maximum load. If you need more, buy a bigger freaking gun!
  22. I like unique, and use it a lot. When loading for something where I need a very accurate powder charge, I throw each charge slightly light, and use a powder trickler to complete the charge to the desired weight. It takes a bit more time, but not as much as you think. I use this method for all my rifle rounds, as I like them as consistent as possible. Honestly, I'm not a good enough shot with a handgun to notice the difference.
  23. Unique is one of the least consistant powders I've tried.
  24. There are exceptions to every rule. I used to work with a guy from Michigan, and I consider him a very dear friend. The vast majority of northern immigrants I've encountered, however, fit my first post.
