  1. There's a whole lot of ammo swapping you can do with revolvers. There's also some that would seem to make sense that you should never try. Alway make sure before you try it.
  2. We are working to repair the bridge on 231 this weekend.
  3. TDOT Awards Emergency Repair Contract for Highway 31-E in Sumner County | TN.gov Newsroom
  4. We'll excavate the material that slid off, and cut a bench into the good part. Then we'll replace all that with shot rock, base stone, and pave it back. It'll be done by July 15. I'd suggest avoiding that entire area all you can for a couple of months.
  5. Wait till you guys see it now. Today, we shut down highway 231!!! The approach to the bridge near hwy 31-E was washed out underneath it. I could walk under the driving lane with nothing but asphalt above me!!! People weren't happy, but it's a thousand wonders someone didn't get killed there. We will begin working on the hill at Westmoreland Monday.
  6. Not at all. I was trying to show the OP where I placed my press in relation to everything else. It works well for me. I'm always looking for ideas, I thought by his post that he was as well.
  7. Could we get the accounting firm of Deloitte and Tousche to disclose the contents of the box? Anyone else having trouble keeping up?
  8. I used to go bump in the night.....then I got married.
  9. Good point about the hearing protection. Make sure she wears it.
  10. Buy about a dozen of those rubber tie down straps you see scattered all over the interstate or stop and pick some up, and keep them strapped to the racks on your four wheeler. You can strap darn near anything to the four wheeler with them. If it has a storage box on it, put in a spare spark plug, a small flashlight, and a length of large nylon strap you can use for towing. I don't have one but I think a windshield would be nice.
  11. I'd like one as soon as someone puts one together and then decides they don't want it. They'd be cheaper that way.
  12. Have you lost your freaking mind??!!????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I'm left handed, but I operate mine in this same manner.
  14. I find it funny that people who claim not to believe in God get awful touchy at the mention of his name. I don't believe in the Easter Bunny, but I don't get all worked up if you want to talk about him.
  15. My wife likes shooting most anything, but what enjoys most is shooting clay pigeons with a shotgun. Thrown slowly, they are quite east to hit. She has a 20 guage semi auto that has very little recoil, and to tell the truth, she's very good with it. She's ready to shoot any time I pull out the thrower. We make it a family affair, and sometimes add a bit of competition to it by playing various games.
  16. Mike, You are in my prayers.
  17. This is the kind of crap you find yourself in when liberals are allowed to make desicions. They make them using "feelings" and not logic, facts, and simple math.
  18. I'd suggest you and her shoot a 22 at clay pigeons, unopened soda cans, or other easy to hit stationary targets that react when hit. Explain the basics of gun safety to her and then make it easy when she begins shooting. Don't make a big deal if she doesn't do everything perfectly at first. Make sure you are close enough to the targets for an easy hit. She might like to take a female friend along. Don't make it a long, drawn out affair. Quit before she grows tired of it, and she'll likely want to go back.
  19. There is a reason you don't see many semi autos chambered for rimmed cases....they don't chamber reliably! Why not get a 357 SIG or a .40?
  20. Really!:doh:I can't believe you are the first one to recommend a COLT. They've only been making them for about 100 years now. I imagine they've about figured out how to do it by now.
  21. I see your point.
