  1. I've had this revolver a long time, and love to shoot it, but I haven't found a good way to take it with me. I decided this weekend to change that. I made it a dual layer belt, a pancake style holster that has a rear cant in case I want to carry it crossdraw under my coveralls, and a pouch for speedstrips. I need to break it in before I decide if I like it, but I don't think it turned out half bad. When I was sewing the belt, I was sure wishing I'd have not had seconds at the dinner table so often!
  2. You all have come through with some great suggestions.
  3. That's a nice looking rig. Do you think one clip would keep the revolver stable and not twisting and turning?
  4. The Emmanuel brothers are great. It's a shame the entertainment industry is stacked so that most people never get to enjoy a lot of the incredible talent out there.
  5. That's a new one on me.
  6. It was made in 1999 I believe. I assume that would make one of the older Ranch Rifles.
  7. Ditch the speedloaders and get some Bianchi Speed Strips. Then you can use any grips you please. As they are flat, they also carry well.
  8. Your answers gave me inspiration. He's not a tall guy, and his height is the one thing that he really worries about. I put him on a mailing list for a company that sells clothes to little people.
  9. Now were getting somewhere!!!
  10. :DLet's all go shoot it!!!
  11. Sheetrock?!?! I expected some space age wonder material.
  12. Not only did he know the neighbor's name, he knew where he worked as well. It sounds like something the neighbor would do. I imagine he's laughing about it as we speak.
  13. I traded guns with a fine TGO member today. I sure hope he's as happy with the trade as I am.
  14. Thanks. PM me if you decide you'd like to try one.
  15. If I were trying to get into one, I'd go in from the back or maybe the side. The door looks to be the most secure area to me. I don't know what the fireliners are made of. You might want to find out before breathing dust from it.
  16. Yes, I made it. I wasn't sure about IWB carry, but so far, this is quite comfortable. The thing is that to get it to go that low in your pants, it has to be a pretty good sized holster. That photo is with a tucked in tee shirt. With a button up shirt tucked in, it completely disapears.
  17. Whadda ya think of this one? It works well for me.
  18. Good advice. Thanks.
  19. As bad as I'd like to win, I'm gonna have to give my vote to this one.
  20. I don't mind the boy trying to pedal books, who I want to get back at is the neighbor who sent him.
  21. I just got one of these. It is a neat gun, but I've felt better triggers on cap guns. Can the factory trigger be improved, or would one need to install an aftermarket trigger of some sort?
  22. I'll play! I have this model 37 Ithaca that works great. It's a fine shotgun, but someone before me decided it needed the blueing sanded off. The wood looks great. It hasn't been abused. I have no idea why someone would do this. What a creative way to advertise!!!! Thanks.
  23. ...referred a salesman of Childrens' Bible Story books to my house today. I was mowing the lawn, and close to finished, when I stopped to see what the guy was up to. 20 minutes later, when he was finally convinced I wasn't going to give him $200 for three books to be delivered later, my tractor wouldn't crank. I got an extension cord and battery charger. It was about three feet short. Couldn't push the tractor. Finally found another extension cord and got the tractor running. After I put the stuff up and began to finish mowing, it began to rain.....and then to hail. I finished the mowing just as the hail was quitting. I came in, nearly drowned and covered in little red whelps. If it weren't for this thoughtful neighbor, I'd have had my grass mown and been dry when the rain started. :DI feel like I owe him something. Anybody got any ideas?
  24. You'd be the only guy in camp with one.
  25. You're almost there. When you handle and fire a vintage Winchester, you'll be ruined for life!!!
