  1. Way to go, Mike. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Same here. I have several you'd be welcome to if you're ever down this way. I don't want to try to ship the, however. Maybe you should drive down this way some weekend. 56FordGuy and I don't live that far apart.
  3. A good belt supports the weight of the pistol without sagging and giving, therefore you aren't constantly tugging at your pants and can walk around and do your daily chores comfortable. A double leather belt is expensive. I'd be happy to make one for you, or you can get one from most any holster maker. I've heard good things about Gun Belts by The Belt Man. We'd be comparable on price, and I would give you a money back guarantee, but he does this for a living, while it's a hobby for me. I expect he knows more about it than I do. Here's another guy I can recommend with confidence:Lobo Gun Leather - Other styles and accessories. He 's probably a bit cheaper than me. How ever you go, don't cheap out on the belt.
  4. Is that a pistol in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
  5. I might know a guy who can make a belt.
  6. I was carrying a S&W 642 in a pocket holster. Lately, I've grown more and more fond of my Ruger LCP in a pocket holster. When I pocket carry, I ONLY pocket carry, so I guess I'm fitting the parameters of your thread. If I'm dresses correctly, I'll OWB carry, but most of the time, I just cram one in a pocket holster and away I go.
  7. Some people are just stupid, but often times at an estate auction, you have more than one family members bidding for "uncle Joe's" favorite gun. Oftentimes they've already had a dispute and are at odds with one another. To further this problem, if they are receiving inherietance from the estate, they will feel like they are buying at a discount. I have gotten bargains from estate auctions, but I sit through a lot of craziness to get one bargain.
  8. A good gun belt will be made from two layers of leather, glued and sewn together. Some even have a Kydex strip sandwiched between these two layers for extra stiffness. If you can put your thumb on the top edge of a belt and your index finger on the bottom edge and bend the belt by squeezing it, it won't be a suitable gun belt. A properly made ccw OWB holster can be concealed with a loose fitting t-shirt or polo.
  9. Way to go!!! Killing a deer with a bow isn't an easy task.
  10. Great story. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Get a quality double layer gun belt to carry whatever you decide. They make a world of difference.
  12. It sounds counterintuitive, but a larger iwb holster can be made to be flatter, and will also distribute the weight better than a compact iwb holster. +1 on the double layer gun belt. They're expensive, but they make all the difference in the world.
  13. He's been taking the same weight loss wonder drug as me......Noassitol.
  14. I would suggest to you that a must for any muzzleloader shooter is to thoroughly clean it as soon as possible. If you don't, you'll find a red muzzleloader in your cabinet the next time you want to shoot it.
  15. I'll give you three guesses........
  16. That's a very handsome rifle.
  17. The Edge.......the wrestler??!!??!??
  18. Keep us posted with shooting results. That's an interesting rifle.
  19. Cool 1911!!! Thanks for the kind words on the holster. Glad you like it.
  20. That does appear to be an Enfield action. How does the rifle shoot? The stock is interesting to me. Who made it? I've never seen grip areas reelief carved like that before. It is definitely different. That would take a lot of work. I like it.
  21. I know it's a 94, but what else is it? It has a blue forend cap, an octagonal barrel, engraving, a gold plated magazine cover, and fancy wood that isn't standard for a 94. It looks like some sort of tribute rifle. Very nice.
  22. YouTube - Myron Promotional Video
  23. He's da man!!!!
  24. Ricky Medelock or George Lynch would be two of my favorites. Now that I think about it, I'd like to add Chet Adkins and Jerry Reed would make the short list as well.
