  1. :shake:I don't see it.
  2. It should be worth close to a grand in the condition you stated. It is a quality rifle. The thing that would turn me off regarding it, besides the noise and recoil, is the $4 you spend on ammo EVERY TIME YOU PULL THE TRIGGER.
  3. There's a shoe repair place on the square in Lebanon, but I see you are in South Tennessee, so that might be a long drive for you.
  4. Saw it off or trade it off. Yes shotgun barrels are generally worth more without the polychoke. Also, the ventilated rib barrels are more expensive than the plain ones.
  5. I'd suggest you go to a range, or else a friend's house where you can fire a bunch of different handguns and decide what you like and don't like. I've bought plenty that looked cool, but when I got them home and shot them, I couldn't get rid of them quick enough. I'd suggest having some patience and looking around for quality used guns at a reasonable price. New guns usually can't compete with the workmanship of an old Colt or Smith and Wesson. They are also like cars; the new ones depreciate in value when you walk out the door with them. The classics appreciate in value.
  6. To answer the OP's question, you can't win this election.
  7. When you are choosing between a barrel of feces or the feces without the barrel, I don't see how a person's vote would matter all that much. What we have is a severe lack of leaders. I propose we draft politicians and make them serve a short term; much like jury duty.
  8. Thanks for sharing this very informative article. Although I have a generally low opinion of LEOs, I understand their uneasyness in dealing with an unknown person who is in possession of a loaded firearm. We are conditioned to think that anyone with a badge and gun is good, but you never can tell about the people in street clothes. If an officer simply assumed that everyone with a firearm was a good guy, they;d be right a lot, but only one mistake could end it all for them in an instant. A tough situation indeed.
  9. I kinda like Stephanie Courtney, aka, Flo from the Progressive Insurance commercials.
  10. I've been fortunate enough to have never experienced credit card debt, but it I ever get this friggin house paid for, I''m out of the debt business for good barring some circumstance beyond my control.
  11. That's how I work it.
  12. Looks like a scene from the movie "Caddyshack".
  13. A Dave Ramsey fan I presume? Good job.
  14. I've made one for a 1911 mag so it should be pretty much the same procedure. I'm trying to figure out how to make a pocket holster that would also hold a spare mag, but I just don't believe there's room.
  15. I don't think it would be any trouble. I was going to buy one of those, but I couldn't find anyone who had one in stock.
  16. I didn't say she was pretty, I said she was sexy. There's a big difference.
  17. Stuff comes and stuff goes. What is important is your faith, your family, and your health. Everything else is just stuff. Hang in there.
  18. :DTell us how you really feel.
  19. I feel your pain. Within a month, I bought a new washer and dryer, refrigerator, and dishwasher. I'm just glad it wasn't the wife or kids.
  20. Mike, do you really look like Redd on That Seventy's Show?
  21. What do you all like...guys? Sandra Bullock is smoking hot. Not beautiful per say, but hot in a girl next door kind of way. Now Julia Roberts is just plain dirty sexy!
  22. There's a great solution. I imagine you could get them both for the price of the Coonan. Moon clips are the way to go with revolvers.
  23. They are as ugly as those old mesh satelite dishes people used to have in their yards. If the barrel isnt too thin, it can be tapped for screw in chokes. Personally, I'd shop around for another barrel. The Ithaca 37 is one fine shotgun, and the 20 guage commands quite a premium over the 12.
  24. You'd think the media, some media somewhere, once, would fact check a story before reporting it. How the ##@@ does one put too large a bullet in the barrel of a muzzleloader? Whatever the cause, I can't imagine the grief the family is enduring right now.
  25. John Jay Hooker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That's him! He always dressed like it was 1790.
