  1. Rust?
  2. You can add a C note for thee Redfield scope, if it's a Denver model. Nothing extra foe the Bushnell.
  3. They aren't expensive, or weren't anyway. You don't see a lot of them now. In really good shape, I'd say $300. The Marlin will command a higher price.
  4. Sometime when I'm bored, I might slip a few in and see what happens.
  5. Is ammonia harmful to brass?
  6. I'd grab em both for a fair price.
  7. My wife has an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. It works great for that. I doubt she'll let me put brass in it, however.
  8. My wife says that to you too??!!??
  9. That's how Hollywood does it anyway.
  10. I think I'll take my sone squirrel hunting in the morning. If a turkey presents itsself, all the better.
  11. You are absolutely right in your observation. What I meant by that statement was that he is living in reaility, unlike several who post on threads like these who think they could leave their apartments and lattes, and live in the woods like Rambo.
  12. Nice buck! I've been hunting them for a quarter of a century, and I've yet to take one that nice.
  13. The classic had a pre 64 style action with the large claw extractor. Your xtr is a push feed action like a 700 Remington. If it looks as good as it does in the picture, you did o.k. at $400.
  14. Sounds great.
  15. YouTube - Guy Clark - The Guitar (Best Quality) He's definitely a legend. This one's a classic too.
  16. That hog came straight from a feedlot.
  17. I heard this on 650 WSM today, and can't believe I've never heard it before. WOW!!! I've always considered Guy Clark to be one of the best songwriters, but it looks like I need to delve a bit deeper into his works.
  18. I don't know, but I'll bet this is German for:
  19. I just dumped a couple of loads of dirt for a backstop.
  20. mav, you seem to have a pretty good handle on reality. I learned some time ago that I'm not Superman. I a situation such as you mentioned occurs, my money is on the older, rural farmers that'll make it the longest. My grandparents, who lived in Nashville, regularly talked about the great depression, and how poor they were and what a challenge merely surviving was. I once asked my wife's grandmother, who lives on a farm, her memories of the great depression, and her response was quite surprising to me. She said they heard something about it on the radio, but she couldn't tell any difference. For people with a self sustaining lifestyle, such things really don't have much impact.
  21. No, not at all. I just think it odd that every time this subject comes up, everybody states how they're going to go to an unfamiliar place and live off the land. I think most people watch way too many movies. It isn't logical.
