  1. Thanks for the heads up. I've suscribed to G&A for several years, but I"m going to let it run out this time. It's steadily went downhill to the point where I feel it is a waste of time to open a copy. For my money, I feel that Shooting Times is a far superior mag.
  2. I mean it!!! Your tooling looks as good as any I've seen.
  3. Your tooling beats the crap outta mine! I think it looks great!!! Now for a matching belt.......
  4. I have a Liberty And a lower end Canon. The next one will be a Liberty!!!
  5. Why not stick with the FMJ ammo?
  6. I sit facing my plate.
  7. People show far too much concern for pitted barrels. If it shoots good, SHOOT IT!!!
  8. LOL! Try buying some for 41 Magnum, 218 Bee, 7x57, 250 Savage, etc. You'll think they're giving away 223 ammo. Anyway, I've always heard that reloading steel cases is a losing proposition, and although I haven't tried it, it makes sense to me that you shouldn't. I'd think you could pick up all the 223 brass you wanted at a range.
  9. A well made pancake holster is detail molded for retention. You can turn them upside down and shake them vigorously, and the gun stays in place. A thumb strap is merely decoration.
  10. Trade it for a revolver.
  11. Huh?
  12. Upon further looking, I found that most powder manufacturers warn agains this practice.
  13. You're the same guy who had the crane screw work loose on his 44 Mag, right? I believe I'd give the other empty cases a good look for other signs of excessive pressure.
  14. +1 in tighten it back up and resume shooting. If vibrations cause a Harley Davidson motorcycle to work loose, just imagine what they do to a 44 Mag. I shot my Super Blackhawk some this evening, and I belive it jarred something loose in me!!!
  15. 4) Try some different ammo. Any will work.
  16. Might be ammo that's loaded too hot. It does happen. I once had a box of Remington factory 308 ammo that you'd have to beat the bolt open with seomething after firing a round of it.
  17. :bowrofl:
  18. The OP reminds me of the gym coach on "Scary Movie". I love the scene when her balls fall out of her skirt. I'm not fond of manly women.
  19. Sounds like you picked a winner.
  20. If you'll cycle three or four hoppers full of powder through your powder measure before you actually use it the first time, it will eliminate your static cling problem. I think it gives that suggestion in the instructions. It works.
  21. That's what I use. I reload, but I don't like reloading for autoloader; nor do I enjoy searching for spent brass from autoloaders.
  22. strickj, Woh's the babe in the santa hat in your avatar. She looks evil, yet a little hot.
  23. Shouldn't be any different than walking around with ammo in your pocket.
  24. I use IMR 3031 powder and various 100 grain bullets with good results. Between my sons and myself, we have 3 rifles chambered for 257 Roberts, and none of them seen to be very finiky. I will suggest that when you find some brass for it, buy a lifetime supply, because it isn't just anywhere.
  25. I wouldn't want exposed lead in there, but wouldn't think anything else would hurt.
