  1. We visisted this place for the first time today. Actually, we went and stayed at Fall Creek Falls last night, and went today to Cumberland Caverns for a cave tour and a concert featuring The Cleverly's and Riders in the Sky. We actually got t meet The Riders in the Sky, chat with them, get pictures with them, and autographs. The concert was amazing. The cave tour was awesome. Nothing was posted. I recommend that if you haven't been there, you should go check this place out. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Of course you all would know that Riders in the Sky put on a first class performance. I've never heard of The Cleverlys. THEY ROCK!!!!! If you don't know who they are, you owe it to yourself to find out where they're playing and go see them.
  2. On second thought.....please send pictures of your sister.
  3. I'd urge you to make the trip to Sevierville to Smoky Mountain Knife Works if you've never been. You'll thank me later.
  4. :DNow, if I could get everyone in the U.S. to send me a dollar......
  5. Thanks, but I already have a sister.....uh oh.....that was an Alabama joke.
  6. Sure did! That would have been impressive!
  7. Would the public practice of sodomy help or hinder a gay rights rally? It certianly wouldn't presuade me. Kind of the same thing to people who don't like guns. Things like the adopt a highway program, and the Christmas pay it forward thing we do here are examples of good ways to shine a positive light on gunowners. I'm a gun nut to the highest extreme, but I wouldn't be impressed by seeing a bunch of fools parading around with guns on their belts trying to be seen. I assure you, that's what you'll look like if you succeed in getting any news coverage.
  8. His record coaching the Titans is 142-20. How the h3ll do you expect anyone to beat that?
  9. I try practicing from different positions, but I love those lteeny little groups that I can only accomplish from the bench.
  10. Titans, Jeff Fisher parting ways after turbulent offseason - NFL - SI.com That sure sucks.
  11. A "rub your nose in it" approach isn't the best way to gain ground, in my opinion.
  12. Thanks, Verne. There's offer #3. This is a great place to be a part of.
  13. Midway has the Frankford Arsenal mini digital scale on sale for $19.95. I bought one a while back, and mine is dead on accurate. Frankford Arsenal DS-750 Electronic Powder Scale 750 Grain Capacity - MidwayUSA
  14. I replied to a classified ad yesterday that I'd pay $100 for a Mosin Nagant that was listed just to say I've shot one. That was my way of making an offer, although partly in jest, it was a legitimate offer. Anyway, after that, I recieved offers from two different forum members to come and shoot their Mosins. The members here are great! Thanks guys.
  15. I just knew it!:mad:Yours is longer than mine.
  16. You ain't gonna like the answers you get. She's either nuts, working on a guilty concience, or both. Marrying her isn't going to make it any better. Do you really want to live like that the rest of your life?
  17. I love it! It is accurate. Not competition accurate, but more than enough so for informal target shooting. I'd invite you to come try it out. but Chattanooga's a apretty good ride from here. Kieefer has an accurate one there; that High Standard HD. That's a quality gun.
  18. I'll add a few 22s. Winchester 62a Savage 19NRA Winchester 67 Remington 514 Anschutz ? Remington nylon 66 and the boys' Cricketts. The 62a is the finest 22 rifle I've ever owned.
  19. Nice looking group, Sid! 22s take up the bulk of my shooting, due to reasonable ammo cost and minimal recoil and noise. Here's what I currently have in 22 handguns. An NAA revolver, a couple of Savage 101 single shots, a Heritage Arms single action, a Colt Frontier Scout, a Ruger Single Six, a GSG 1911 22, and my personal favorite: a model 18 Smith and Wesson Combat Masterpiece.
  20. Are they rusty? Parts broken or missing? Are they new in the box? This is kind of like asking: I have a red truck...what's it worth? Buy a copy of Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values. It'll help a lot. You can alos look at completed auctions on sites such as gunbroker.com.
  21. That's the ONLY way to go! A car there is as usless as a battleship.
  22. I like old stuff, and I'm' more of an accumulator than a collector. My interests lean toward bone and stag handles, and include brands such as: Cattaraugus, Winchester, Remington, Camillus, Robeson, John Primble, Keen Kutter, New York Knife Co, Union Cut Co, Schatt & Morgan, etc. I also have a thing for fixed blade hunting knives.
  23. We stayed at Coronado Springs. It was beautiful. The hotel was so big that you rode a bus from your room to the lobby. If I went again, I'd consider staying at the Animal Lodge. I strongly suggest you purchase a meal plan. Some of the places we ate were $70-$80 a plate!!! I found the Deluxe plan to be too much. I thought the basic plan would be too little. I heard there was an intermediate plan now, if so I'd look into that one. With the deluxe plan, I walked continusouly for a week, and still gained about 10 pounds!
  24. YES! I'd suggest you buy a copy of Birnbaum's book about Disney. You also need to start planning now, and calling to make reservations at some of the nicer restuarants. You don't want to eat a a nice one every meal, but some of the various restuarants there are sure worth visiting. Getting to eat different foods from different parts of the world seemed to be a highlight of my childrens' trip there last year.
