  1. If you're in the produce dept. at Wal Mart decked out like Rambo, I'd say both of you. As far as self defense goes, there's something to be said for blending in, and not attracting attention to one's self.
  2. I love to listen to Herman Cain. I wish a station in Nashville would pick him up full time.
  3. ...and that's where the more money comes in. A lot of people who've only worked manual labor jobs do not understand this.
  4. Handguns are different than long guns. It is my understanding that while you can ship a long gun directly to a person in state, you need to go through an FFL with a handgun. My post office won't let an individual ship a handgun. I can't quote you the law on it, but this has been my experience.
  5. LOL! My wife says I'm antisocial, and that I don't do well around people. You guys make me think that she might just have something there. But just humor me for a second, what would you do in such a situation.
  6. Well stated. I've done both, and while I actually prefer the labor, I've found that the management type job pays better and is more stable.
  7. I have not experienced this, but have encountered my share of outspoken, obnoxious people. I don't feel this is an irrational fear, but perhaps it is. Until I can come up with a way to deal with a similar situation, I'll be very guarded in where and when I open carry. I'm not suggesting everyone else do the same, but I was proposing something you might not have considered.
  8. Better by far!!!
  9. The only thing I'm wondering is how you handle a loud woman in a crowded place coming up in your face and being loud and beligerent, yelling about you carrying a gun, endangering everyone, being a coward, etc. I don't see how you win this one. You walk away; she won. You hit her; you lose. You say anything in return; you lose. This is very likely to happen, and it wouldn't surprise me if some members of the crowd now drawn around to watch your reaction decide to join in. Something to think about.
  10. Noah? Is that you?
  11. Why in the world do you want a soft holster?
  12. Good show in my opinion.
  13. WARNING!!! This is how it starts. Soon, you'll be spending all of yoyr free time making holsters and trying to get caught up. The people at the leather store will have your name and phone number memorized. It's all right, however, because you've found a way to use a gun purchase as a tax right off, and will find yourself with extra fun money.
  14. YOu can also hide the weights by drilling holes in the underside of the body, and filling them with lead pistol bullets. Spread filler over them, sand, ant they're gone. The best place I found for the is in front of the rear axles. My youngest boy wasn't old enough to be in cub scouts the last time my oldest competed. He still wanted to build a car. They let him race it in the adults unlimited division. He ended up taking second place. There were several visibly upset grown men there that day.
  15. :DSounds like they're lucky to have you around.
  16. I call them my neighbors.
  17. Red 67610 Rebel 8x32 Roof Prism Bino BLK WHS:10 I boought my son a pair of these, and for the price, I've been very impressed with them.
  18. No BS from me! I'd be very proud of that.
  19. Looks great to me. How does it carry? Surely you're wearing it.
  20. I'm 0-2 fighting bogus tickets. I'd suggest paying it. I lose my cool every time I go into a courtroom.
  21. :eek:That;s gotta be a record!!!
  22. +1 for Tandy. There's one on Nolensville Road. The people in there are more than willing to educate you, answer any questions, and are well educated in leatherworking.
  23. Just out of curiosity, in what town in Middle Tennessee do you reside?
  24. But if the OP paid the advertised $258 for this, I guess he knows something we don't.
  25. A friend of mine made this the other day. He isn't too far from here. Believe it or not, there are local people around that are as skillful as anyone else.
