  1. 550 rounds of 22 LR is $14.97. 550 rounds of 22 mag, 11 boxes, would be over $100. Same bullet, just a louder bang.
  2. My wife was tired, and nearly due with my second son when driving home from work one evening. A group of morons with blue lights pulled her over and harrassed her for more than an hour for no apparent reason. She asked why she was pulled over, and was repeatedly told "we don't know." When I went into the sherriff's office, shut the door behind me, and pinned him in the corner of the room, he told me they were executing a drug sting, and that her car matched the description of a car they were looking for, and that "his boys" got a little jumpy. I told him in no uncertain terms that if anythin like that ever happened again, he'd have trouble he surely didn't want. He assured me that it wouldn't and apologized profusely. I am a law abiding citizen, and this is just one of many examples of encounters I've had with law enforcement. I have no tolerance for this type of crap, and will not allow it no matter the outcome. If I'm alone in my belief; so be it.
  3. Of course not....is that POS still in print?
  4. Get BOTH cylinders! As Westwindmike said, 22 mag is an expensive proposition, and the extra noise soon loses it's cool after you buy a few boxes of ammo.
  5. I always get in trouble for "cop bashing". Anyway, I do have an opinion. Police, as a group, are no better, and in my opinion as I belive statistics would prove, sorrier than the general population in which they serve. I have never understood the attitude that EVERY SINGLE LEO I've met has, in which they believe they are above everyone else and above the law. As long as they portray this attitude, they do NOT have my support. There will come a point that the majority of people will agree, but it appears it hasn't come yet. Are there "good police"? Absolutely! However, I do not understand the general attitude that whatever they do is fine simply because they are wearing a badge.
  6. How about a little surveillance? Find out when and where he goes. When he steps out of the house headed to the car, grab him. Block him in at the ATM. Just catch him out in the open by himself anywhere. Kicking in doors is not the way to deal with it. It looks cool on the movies, but sadly, I believe that a growing portion of us are becomming more and more detatched from real life.
  7. Best in what respect?
  8. This was quite a few years ago, and I only saw it reported once on one newscast. A group of LEO raided a house in North Nashville, breaking through the back and front doors. I forget how many were shot (several), but there was no one home. They met in the middle and commenced shooting one another. I stand by my statement that other than creating an intimidation factor for the general public, this is a poor way to handle serving a warrant.
  9. Now that's funny!!!! I love the Phil Valentine show.
  10. "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." John Boy on The John Boy and Billy morning radio program.
  11. Really? What if the turn out to not really be police. If someone kicks my door in, someone is very likely to be shot. That is a very dumb thing to do in most any situation. Why not wait until the guy comes out of the house? How do you know who else is in the house? I may get kicked off the board for cop bashing, but there's no rationalization for the actions taken in the video.
  12. If so, what are the chances I could get some sage advice from you? Thanks in advance, Greg.
  13. You hit the nail on the head here, BigK. We don't care what the writer's opinion is; we want facts. The editorial page is for opinions. If more writers would follow Mr. Gee and Mr. Haas' lead, many of the newspapers wouldn't be in the financial strain they currently find themselves in.
  14. "I;d rather be pizzed off than pizzed on." Unkown
  15. No kidding??!!?? WOW! Are you at liberty to share the nature of the incident?
  16. Do yourself a favor and pick up some 38 Spl target loads on the way to the range. You'll thank me later.
  17. DOn't buy a house in a flood plain. Don't buy individual insurance coverage for your guns. Instead, invest that money in a quality safe.
  18. The goal is to change the stupid laws. It sounded to me like you were defending it.
  19. Weiner??!!?? You just can't make this stuff up. Anthony Weiner Twitter Photo Scandal: Congressman Breaks His Silence He is aptly named.
  20. So by your way of thinking, you can justify robbing my children because you were once robbed? Wow!
  21. Count me among the negligible and stupid. Socialism hasn't worked anywhere long term, and it is about to break the U.S. Don't count on the Republican party to do anything more than pay lip service to it, however.
  22. Is sending a SWAT team to serve a narcotics warrant standard procedure? This isn't a trick question; I simply don't know.
  23. Looks like it's drawing plenty of attention. Now we'll have a new, anti reloading faction to deal with.
  24. Kudos to Mr. Gee for a well written, well researched, unbiased article.
