  1. I love my GSG! It has a good trigger, is fairly accurate, and is less expensive than most conversion kits. I've shot several hundred rounds through it now with no problems, and I haven't took it apart and cleaned it yet. For the money, I don't see how you'd beat one.
  2. I'm sure I lnow which guy you are referring to. I know he's been there for 30 years, and he's asked about nearly every gun I've ever brought into the show. I now refrain from slowing down; let alone looking at his table. When he starts to ask about a gun I'm carrying, I don't slow down and quickly say "NOT FOR SALE!"
  3. Not the quality of the previous pictures, but I'm kind of partial to this one for some reason. Taken with a Canon EOS Rebel.
  4. I think I paid $20 for the last one I bought...ant it works. They are very low quality. Better hang on to your Taurus. I'll bet if you look closely, it won't be a 38 Special either. A box of shells will be worth considerably more than the gun.
  5. Thanks, Travis. I will call you, but it may be a few days.
  6. Nothing. He bought it from a website, and we got it out and charged the battery put it in, and nothing happened. With an electrical tester, I could determine that the trigger worked, the battery had a charge, and the fuse was good. I assume the motor's bad?
  7. Used Citori?
  8. Keep the Glock and buy revolvers. A man can't have too many guns! Besides, you may find youself in a situation one day where you need to loan a gun to someone, or else throw one in the river. You'll be glad you kept the Glock!
  9. Thanks.
  10. Is there anyone in Middle Tennessee who works on airsoft rifles? My son has one ant it doesn't work.
  11. What's an AR lower?
  12. You've gotta shoot it!!!
  13. Cool! I've been meaning to get some kydex to play with, but so far it hasn't happened.
  14. I thought my wife and I were the only people who despised the public in general. I can't stand to go anywhere there's a crowd. It seems that either people are becomming ruder and ruder or else I'm just becomming less tolerant of bad behavior. When I'm staring at the idiot in the theater talking on a cell phone, or the moron who won't shut up and take his hat off while the national anthem is being sung, I think maybe I shouldn't be carrying a gun.
  15. Prayers and positive thoughts sent your way.
  16. I suppose a judicious lawyer could bring up just about anything in court, but I wouldn't sweat it too much. My wife and I took the shooting portion of the course with a 22. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and shoot the 45. No harm in that. What are you going to do if you decide to trade it for a .40 or 9mm in the future? You'd be in the same boat. I am pretty sure there are no laws on the books in Tennessee that address this issue. If you're worried about accuracy, you could have passed the test I took with a slingshot! I think we fired somewhere around 100 rounds? Not really a cost prohibitive deal either way.

    Glock 1911????

  18. I'd be interested in the gentleman's book when it's published. I have Murray's book on 99 Savages. It isn't perfect, but it is the most definitive work out there. There's an old saying in Savage collecting: NEVER SAY NEVER! It seems that the folks at the Savage factory were an industrious lot, and used up old parts until they were gone. There isn't any telling how many varitions you may find of the old 24's. I don't have any 24's....yet, but I do have a very nice old 219 in 22 Hornet. It's pretty much a single barrel version.

    Glock 1911????

    I prefer the Glock revolver.
  20. The tang safety is a bit less visible?
  21. I'm not into anything "tacticool", but I saw an article about this, and I have to admit it does sound interesting. http://www.keltecweapons.com/news/preview-kel-tec-shotgun-ksg A 12 guage that holds 15 rounds? WOW!!!
  22. Some guns don't need a safety, and a lever action with an exposed hammer is among them. It is akin to a screen door on a submarine. It looks gaudy, serves no function, and is an impediment to an otherwise nimble gun.
  23. No, I do know the toggle was marked Mauser, but I didn't find anything on the barrel or frame. The numbers don't match between the toggle and frame. It appears to me that something has been scratched off the left side of the barrel. I'm not sure what was supposed to be there. Anyway, I wanted a shooter, and this fits the bill. I'd be scared to shoot an all original gun because of today's prices for them. I'd also be leery of buying one, because as the prices rise, so do your chances of buying a fake.
  24. I hope it came with ammo.
