Markings on Japanese Arisaka Rifles and Bayonets of World War II Here's quite a bit of info on them. I was given a 6.5 Arisaka a while back. I was surprised with the quality of the rifle. It is miles ahead of an old 6.5 Carcano I have. You'll have better luck finding 7.7 ammo than I have in find the 6.5 stuff.

I really can't picture John Wayne pulling one out of his scabbard.....Napolean Dynamite maybe.

This isn't an opinion. It is a black and white fact that no firearms laws are suspended at a gun show. Every single gun law in effect is in effect at a gun show as well as at any other location. THERE IS NO "GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE"!!!!!!! I thought this was the job of the op ed writer and the talk show host. When did the job of a reporter stop being the breaking of stories and the reporting of facts?

Tell the neighbor his horses make your gun nervous. He and I wouldn't get along very well.

It has a place in my meager library. If you liked it, you'd likely enjoy the companion book, "The Boy Grows Older".

He's the giant fellow with all the reloading supplies. -
Yep. The Marbles name has been bastardized, much like Winchester. If you can get your hands on an older Marbles made in Gladstone Michigan, you'll have a quality knife.

DLM37015 said he was setting up a table there. That means there will be anything imaginable in the area of reloading. -
I'll bet your wife is proud!

Kind of like asking "I have a red truck. What is it worth?"

Why on earth would they be concerned about a camera? With the recent invasion of digital devices, I'd be amazed by someone there who didn't have a camera. -
Everyone here has described the issue accurately. Brian, assuming you are of legal age, and otherwise legally eligible to own a firearm, it is lawful for me, a guy who doesn't have a federal firearm dealer's license, to sell a firearm to you from my private collection. I can do it at my home, your home, the parking lot at Hooter's, etc., or at a gun show. I am not required to submit a background check on you like a dealer would be required to do. The gun show just happens to be a place where those of us who are of like mind tend to congregate to buy, sell, swap, trade, and tell lies. It's really no different from an electronics show, dog show, or guitar show. I cannot legally sell firearms with the intent of making profit, however, without holding an FFL, and adhering to the rules and regulationss associated with it. The law isn't real clear as to how many guns one can sell, or how much profit one could realize without needing the license. I assume that would be the judgement call of a BATFE agent. A non dealer can even rent a table at a show in order to liquidate a collection. It is, however, unlawful to transfer a firearm to an out of state resident if you aren't a dealer. If you buy a firearm from a dealer at a show, you are subjected to the same paperwork and background check as you would be at the dealer's store. Bottom line is that the law doesn't change at the gun show. The same rules and regulations apply there as they do anywhere else. If a person isn't happy with the current law, they should become active in trying to get it changed. The false reporting of "the gunshow loophole" by the mainstream media is a perfect example of why they are currently held in such low esteem by a great number of Americans.

Winchester white box at WalMart. You could buy stuff that's a bit cheaper, but not much.

If I weren't over an hour from the nearest dealership, and had the spare time, I'd go that route as well. If you live out in the sticks like I do, it is a big inconvenience.

I bought a new Honda a while back, and the owner's manual states that to keep from voiding the warranty, you have to use 0w-20 motor oil in it. All I can find is $8 per quart synthetic oil in that weight. It is a popular car, so I wound't think finding the correct oil would be a problem. Wal Mart shows a 5 qt jug of Mobil 1 synthetic for $27, but I can't locate any in person. I've always used conventional Pennzoil with good results, but I don't think they make this weight. What do you guys use, and where do you get it? I feel somewhat pressured to take it back to the dealer for service. I guess that's the plan, huh?
