  1. I sold this one to a fellow forum member here a year or two back.
  2. I've found the staff at the Rivergate located Academy, if not always knowledgeable, at least to be very kind and eager to assist.
  3. If you want it cheap, go to a big box store. If you want customer service, go to your local gun store.
  4. You don't break out the beer till the safe is in place.
  5. It's miles ahead of their tactical lever rifle in my opinion. Mossberg needs to clean house in the R&D department.
  6. Here's my second attempt. My son wanted to make one, and after a short while of sanding, he decided he didn't have the patience for it, so I finished it for him. I've got #3 on the work bench now. It will have bone handles.
  7. Furniture dolly, case of beer, and some buddies with strong backs.
  8. I've found that, as a whole, liberals make desicions based on emotion. Conservatives make desicions based on calculation, with emotion pretty much left out of the equation. There are more than a few morons in both camps.
  9. I believe that is referred to as an "@$$hole stock". Similar to the thumbhole stock, but the hole's in a different place.
  10. I'd suggest you get some reduced loads for the 12. I have several 20's, and I can't tell a big difference in recoil from the 12's. 410 shells are $10 per box. A 28 would be a good choice, but price and availability are a concern for ammo there as well.
  11. GO to Tractor Supply and pick one out to use until you get to your desired weight. Then, bite the bullet and get the Beltman belt.
  12. If it's original, I'd suggest you buy a replacement stock that suits your taste and stick that one back in the closet. In original condition, you'll one day have a quite valuable piece. Refinishing the wood would kill that possibility. Also, if you can turn an Enfield into a thing of beauty, you are quite the magician.
  13. ...or dlm37015 cleaned out his garage.
  14. Wow! I have several thousand flawless rounds through mine.
  15. I don't get many complaints about either of these.
  16. You won't find a passable over under for $600. Save up or else go the semi auto route.
  17. Shoots great in mine. I don't understand the obsession with "clean ammo". I've never found any clean ammo. If you don't want to clean your gun, don't shoot it.
  18. Good shooting, JAB! Now I'm going to try and get this crick out of my neck.
  19. Put them in the classified ads here on TGO. Couldn't hurt!
  20. That's pretty much how I've tried to handle it. I've tried to have the patience to let my children handle, clean, disassemble and reassemble, and fire a myriad of firearms while constantly and repetitively talking about gun safety. I also try to answer the neverending barage of questions from them about guns. Show and tell is important too. Watching a pumpkin being turned into juice by a 12 guage is a very powerful lesson to a young child.:DKinda cool to me too!
  21. It is currently ILLEGAL to sell a firearm to any person unable to legally own a firearm. Underage, a convicted felon, mentally disturbed, etc. How many more laws do we need? How many laws are there against rape? If a law isn't being enforced, more laws is not the answer. That being said, what we are discussing here is a problem that really doesn't exist. Brian, I've learned more from you through the discussions on this forum that I've learned from years of reading the Tennessean. Thanks for putting up with us, and with me in particular.
  22. Truer words have never been spoken. The reason I can't do it is purely me! The little gun shows great accuracy potential. A short sight radius, long, stiff trigger pull, a grip barely large enough to hold on to, and nearly nonexistant sights all add up to a gun that is difficult to shoot well. Add this to the fact that I'm, at best, a mediocre handgun shot, and yet I can still hit a target with it tells me that the little LCP could be a tack driver in the right hands.
