  1. Very good answer. Thanks.
  2. Murgatroy, I think you are closer than I am on #1.
  3. I bought one several years back from Moore Brothers Tractor and Implement in Gallatin, on 109 South, near the river. They sell the cheaper, angle iron frame trailers, but that was all I needed. Their price couldn't be beat. If you want a nicer, tube frame trailer, I'd also suggest BJ's, further south on 109.
  4. Great price!!!
  5. That's a very helpful site! Thanks for sharing.

  7. Very nice. You are correct that a quality belt is essential to comfortably carry a handgun of any size.
  8. I find this thread really sad as well. I've always seen the gun enthusiast community as a notch above the general population in morality. That may well still be true, and this is just evidence of the general moral decline of our entire culture. I wasn't aiming the comments in my previous post at the OP, or at anyone in particular, but at anyone who thinks keeping the ammo was a good idea.
  9. I don't know what movies some of you are fantasizing about, but in reality, if a tube full of 30-30 ammo doesn't improve things, you are very likely screwed anyway. In threads such as these, most people assume they will be the hero who escapes certain disaster unscathed. Here in realityville, it just doesn't pan out that way.
  10. Actually, taking something that doesn't belong to you would qualify as a cheat; or a better term would be theif. I can't believe you'd post something like that on an internet forum and not expect an unpleasant reply. I can cite several examples of technically legal behavior that is in no way moral. I can see by this thread several people here I would like to do business with, as well as several I'll make a point to avoid doing business with.
  11. This is why I like newspapers being on the internet. I used to read the letters to the editor and just get pizzed off. Now I get to enjoy reading the replies.
  12. If those are officer length grips, I might could take them off your hands.
  13. WTF???????????? My wife is right....Guys never really grow up, do we?
  14. I gave the SOB a dollar! I guess it's worth it to have him gone.
  15. You can clean a lot of that up by gently using 0000 steel wool, and copious amounts of oil. I'd clean it up and use it. Spend the money you were going to spend on refinishing on ammo for it. I can't imagine doing anything to it that wouldn't cost a fortune yet would enhance the looks of the shotgun. It doesn't look that bad to me.
  16. I told my father once about looking for a large, heavy knife. A while later he gave me this one he made. It was exactly what I wanted, and since he hand made it, it is my favorite.
  17. You've really got something there!
  18. I'd buy several reloading manuals and read and reread the front parts. That will give you a better idea of what you'll need to start. I like to keep a good stock of powder and primers on hand, as they seem to be in shorter supply than brass and projectiles. Watch classified ads on gun forums and sales and blemished bullet ads on retail webistes for good deals.
  19. This tickles me because the OP acts like he's outdone us all by getting an income tax refund.

    HiPoint Carbine

I darned near bought one at the local gun dealer a couple of weeks ago. I think they look like a ton of fun.
  21. You could always start your own internet forum.

  23. I still want my admission refunded from the last one I went to. There is a larger selection of guns and accessories at many gun shops than at the Lebanon show. They don't charge admission either!
  24. I wasn't really comparing one to a Chinese knife. I was thinking more along the lines of some of the other custom makers. To my eye, it seems that one can get a lot more bang for their buck with another brand. I suppose it is simply a difference in taste. I am in no way claiming that a Randall isn't a quality knife. They definitely are. I wonder if a lot of it is just brand recognition. Guy Clark likes them!
