  1. A lever action rifle shouldn't have a sling.
  2. Answer #1: Yes. Answer #2: Model 70 Winchester.
  3. I'm guessing a model 92, but could be a 73 Condition, barrel length, and other options are all key to the value of the gun. Especially condition! Could be $300. Could be $50,000. you can't post this type of thing without pictures!!!!
  4. How ar you guys cooking the bees? Marinating them in honey? That's just wrong, isn't it?
  5. What are you going to marinade it in?
  6. I figured out that the cable gun locks that seem to come with everything now, make a great trailer tongue lock.
  7. Thanks, OhShoot. I was not aware of that. All the babbling guys on the radio speak of it as it is common knowledge.
  8. Just what I was thinking. You've announced to the world that you own several guns, and will be away from home for several days. Not a good move.
  9. I've heard this deal pretty well beaten into the ground in the last week or so. One thing I have missed, and I hope some of you can clear this up for me, is this: I understand Ms. Fluke is a college student, and she is demanding her health coverage provide free birth control. My question is: Is it common for colleges to provide health insurance to students? I've never heard of this before, but I do admit I'm not a college graduate.
  10. So, has anyone heard when and where these might be available? http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/01/foghorn/u-s-to-import-87310-m1-garand-rifles-from-korea/
  11. Anywhere something has burned is also a very good place for them. We once burned firewood, and the place in the woods behind the hous where we dumped the ashes was coverd in them every year. I also have found them in good number in pieces of woods that have been previously burned. They're sure good at hiding from you!
  12. I tried some once. If memory serves, they were from bass. I sauteed them in a little butter for not very long. I thought they were pretty good.
  13. My son recently purchased a Mora of Sweden knife to use for hunting. For the price, I've found it to be a very good blade. http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/brands/Frosts+Mora+of+Sweden/47.html
  14. So what makes machettes o.k.?
  15. I have been there several times, and have never seen a posting.
  16. You are correct about not saving a lot on reloading 223 ammo. The thing is that I can load 218 Bee ammo for about the same price. Try buying loaded ammo in that caliber!!??
  17. I like Shooting Times. I used to suscribe to Rifle, but man was it expensive! I also get Guns and Ammo and Outdoor Life. I haven't paid a subscription to either of them in years. Not sure why they keep coming.
  18. I have three of them, and didn't get it right! Thanks for hosting the contest. I enjoyed it. Congratulations to the winners!!!
  19. It works kind of like the free cell phone you get with a two year contract. They get the money; just not up front.

  21. My wife works at home, and I have a truck provided from my employer, so we don't buy a lot of gas either. It still stings a little when we do.
  22. I'd like it too.....till the gas tank ran low! Nice looking pair of vehicles.
  23. Size em, load em, and shoot em again.
