  1. Very interesting. Thanks. I never looked at it from an LEO's point of view.
  2. http://www.maconcountychronicle.com/component/content/article/39-frontpage-news/3107-meth-epidemic-plagues-city-of-lafayette I have a couple of questions, or observations about this product. I expect some of you might be able to shed some light on these issues. First, I was reading the article above, and I do believe I own everything shown in the accompanying picture. You probably do as well. Let's say the local Sherrif gets mad at you for one reason or another. What's to keep him from finding this "paraphanalia" in your home, or in your bag leaving Wal Mart, and arresting you on drug charges? I know that sounds like a tin foil hat proposition, but why couldn't it happen? Second, I keep reading all these stories about the growing meth problem in our area. I thought having us sign for sinus medicine was supposed to end the problem. What happened with that? Third, what is a good long term solution for this problem? I'd appreciate your opinions on this issue.
  3. Could they be tumbled to a smooth exterior?
  4. You sure come up with some interesting projects. I believe there's a lot of money to be made out there by people with imaginations like yours. Thanks for sharing.
  5. That is really a neat photo. There are surely several museums who'd love to get a copy of that with the names. I love the "assault rifles" of that time period. Mr. Durbin certainly had the nicest of the bunch. It would be quite a set if you were able to get the rifle to go with that picture. Thanks for sharing.
  6. What is the penalty for whipping a TSA agent's hind end for an act such as this?
  7. I've got an idea. How about a bunch of us TGO members getting together, pooling our money, and having a gun by back effort? Any news clips I see always include some classics like Colt SAAs, Diamondbacks, 1911s, Winchester levers, etc. The rest could be sold at a gun show booth at a later date to recoup some of our funds. I would even take some to use for parts.
  8. These are funded by tax dollars. If you don't have a problem with that, you either don't pay taexs, or you have some severe reasoning problems.
  9. I've heard good reports about Short Mountain moonshine, which is legally bottled, taxed, and sold in Tennessee. So far, I've not tried any legal moonshine for myself.
  10. I enjoyed your website ad photography very much thanks for sharing.
  11. No. Don't sue anyone. Use this as a learning experience. I spend a LOT of time at a baseball park. I've learned to either pay attention to where the ball is, or move away from where a ball is being thrown, hit, or otherwise made airborne. Sueing someone becaues you are an idiot isn't a plan that helps anyone.
  12. LuLu's on the intercostal waterway is a hoot as well. I believe she's Jimmy Buffett's sister.
  13. Can;t think of anywhere I'd rather be. I'll go in October. Be sure to eat at DeSoto's. Lambert's up in Foley is a fun place to dine as well.
  14. Too bad the ball didn't go in one side of her head and out the other.
  15. Don't underestimate the ability of the Republican party to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
  16. I've got a bunch of em I'll sell cheap. How many do you want? I'll even take guns for trade.
  17. They aren't the same. I can tell you that my wife makes the best blackberry cobbler ever made. We also have wild raspberries here. They mature a few weeks earlier than the blackberries, and are much better.
  18. Looks good! Mind if I ask how you are heat treating the steel?
  19. Why no! We're jus on here shotin the breeze anyway. I probably learn more from a derailed thread than one that isn't; there aren't many that don't get derailed however.
  20. Depending on what I'm looking for, I usually start with Sam Hoster in Gallatin. He'll b1tch & fuss and say he dosen't have it. Then he'll get to digging through his stuff, and more often than not, he'll have what I'm looking for. If that doesn't work, again depending on what it is, it's gunparts.com, midway, brownells, ebay, etc.
  21. LOL! Shooting 1/2" groups with a factory rifle and factory ammunition? Your barrell isn't worn out; it's a gem! A lot of folks on the internet are simply full of $##+. Very few of us can shoot better than that with any rifle. Also, there are a great majority of four and even five digit custom rifles that will not outshoot yours. I feel that your expectation is more out of whack than the rifle.
  22. Some of my rifles shoot better with the bullet seated where it touches the lands when chambered, while others shoot better with a deeper seated bullet. I find no rhyme or reason for it. I suppose it's just a difference in the particular guns. You'll want to try loads with progressivlely shorter to longer OAL's, just as you tried loads with different powder charges. A 1/2" group is nothing to sneeze at. If you keep at it, you'll likely shrink your groups, but you'll put in a lot of effort for very little gain. But hey, that's part of the fun of reloading. Another thing you might want to try is a flat base bullet. I often find that boattails sometimes do not stabilize well until out past 100 yards.
  23. I'm not sure you put a lot of thought into this before you posted .
  24. Don't know about that. This scandal shows clearly that Obama has no qualms in supporting the killing of Mexican citizens by funding the transportation of weapons to drug cartels there. If I were Mexican, I'd think long and hard about that before entering the ballot box. As a rule, the Mexican people aren't stupid.
  25. Single shot.
