If it were that easy for roadbuilding, you'd have the best highways in the nation and considerably lower taxes.

As I understand it, a prospective buyer needs to be a Tennessee resident. If he says he is, and you have no knowledge, or no reason to believe he isn't able to legally purchase a firearm, eg. felony conviction, etc., I think you have legally done all you need to do to be able to sell him a firearm.

I Don't Think GOP Can Beat the Press
gregintenn replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The good thing about it is that by watching CNN, you, all by yourself, dramatically increased their ratings. Their ratings have been tanking the last couple of years. The further left they've gone, the more people have turned them off. Most newspapers have suffered the same fate. I imagine the major demographic for the big 3's evening news are somewhere north of 60 years old. It won't happen overnight, but I see poor desicion making beginning to bite the press in the rear. The internet has also helped the spread of alternative news outlets. The big 3 simply don't have the clout they enjoyed 20 years ago. The media is definitely in the tank for the left. I still believe a strong candidate could overcome this pretty easily. Too bad one isn't available. -
It does seem that the agricultural industry does have more leeway than the roadbuilders I deal with have, but any speck of erosion violates environmental regs with us. Perhaps someone in the local forestry department would be a better choice.

Oh, it'll be temporary, but it will calm down. I've seen it happen to one extent or another for several election cycles now. Remember the 2008 election? You couldn't find a box of 380 ammo or a primer anywhere! I saw one asshatl at a gun show selling 380 ammo for $100 per box....and people were buying it!!!!

Anyboy here work at a place where your vehicle has been searched? The only place I know of that happening is at our local high school. I don't belive they search employees' vehicles there; just students. When my children get old enough to drive, I'll be stirring up quite a stink over that.

From an investment perspective, I feel the carbine would be a far better choice than an AR. I believe the market has been flooded with ARs. I expect one of two things will happen with ARs in the next couple of years; 1)they will be illegal to own, or 2)the dust will settle after this election, and there have been so many purchased out of fear that you'll be able to pick them up for peanuts at any neighborhood yard sale. In the interest of full disclosure, I own two m1 carbines, and no ARs, so I am biased. I am usually of the opinion that if you're unsure; get both.

I'd make sure I've exhausted all avenues of talking with the owner, as you'll have to live with him in years to come. Try to keep the conversation civil, and only pertaining to facts. Do not let emotion into it. If that fails, I expect a call to the Tennessee Department of Conservation would quickly make him want to repair damage and act to prevent any further damage. I will tell you that this call would end any chance of him ever being a good neighbor in the future, and should only be used as a last resort, just like getting a lawyer involved. It is my experience that they are a pain in the keester to deal with if you're on the logger's end of the situation.

This one made me a little uneasy.

I feel the same about Democrats and Republicans.

Great wife! Sounds like she got a pretty good husband as well. If you decide you don't like being out of debt, it won't take but a couple of minutes to get back in to it. I guarantee you'll like loading your own ammo. Be sure to have a guns/ammo envelope!

Why do you say he is a tool? I heard on the radio this morning that the Dem's lost their lawsuit, and he will be on the ballot in Novermer.
-
Unless I learn something new, I'll vote for him in November. The Democrat party doesn't like him. That's always a plus.

Well, some people object to brass being ejected right in front of their face. It never really bothered me.

This could get interesting.

Real men pee outdoors.

National southpaw day was a few days back, so in late honor of that, I wondered how many of you lefties use specifically left handed guns, guns that pretty much work either way, or have adapted to the standard right handed actions. I fall somewhere in between the last two catergories. I shoot a lot of bolt rifles that are all right handed, but I prefer shotguns such as over/unders, side by sides, or Model 37 Ithacas that don't really matter. I also have a fondness for lever rifles. They are pretty much ambidextrous as well.

I'd like one of those!

O.k., REAL men do not do this sort of thing. -
Sumner County Deputy fired and arrested
gregintenn replied to gregintenn's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yes, but men do not use a gun and badge to intimidate children into situations such as this. -
http://www.wsmv.com/story/19263572/sumner-county-deptuty-fired-arrested I gotta say that were that my daughter, I'm not sure he'd be able to make the hearing on the 24th. Wonder how much garbage like this gets swept under the rug before it becomes public knowledge?

Where does the "You'uns" belts stop in Tennesse?
gregintenn replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I believe the Jackson/Macon county line is the northern border. East is you'uns, west is ya'll. I do enjoy the macon county pronoun that espresses ownership; you'rn (pronounced as urine). -
Surprised No One's Posted This!

All I know is that if police are harrassing a lawyer, neither of them are harrassing me! It is a win-win situation.
