  1. One inch is considered "intermediate range"? What is close range? Inside his body?
  2. I'd love to have a bayonet for an m1 Carbine.
  3. Or green and ask $250!
  4. I shoot and carry 230 grain ball ammo.
  5. Something's up, or else it would be a lead national story. I'm curious what a "large caliber" rifle will turn out to be. 50 BMG? Rigby double?
  6. I don't cast, and the lead bullets I've fired left the gun nasty. I'm sure it was the lube. I don't have a problem with that. I was curious how the OP felt about it. I often read on forums where people are asking for a "clean powder". I've yet to fire anything in a gun that didn't leave some trace of something on/in the gun.
  7. I'm sure the name Richard Venola will ring a bell to those of you who read gun magazines. I am anxious to hear the details of this incident. http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2012/05/richard_venola_editor_of_guns.php
  8. I am of the opinion that a shotgun should have two barrels.
  9. If you were concerned about a powder being dirty, what did you think of the cast bullets?
  10. Somebody's gotta bust his chops now and again!
  11. Kind of like asking if you'd prefer a marrige with Rosie Odonnell, or a threesome with two supermodels of your choosing......I'm going with the Mustang. Is this a trick question?
  12. More than 20 years ago, I bought a large framed, blue Taurus revolver in 357 Magnum. I hadn't even heard the name before I saw it at an auction. It had a beautiful blue finish, everything was fitted almost perfectly. The action was butter smooth, a great trigger, and it shot really well. In my opinion, it was every bit the equal of a Smith and Wesson. I later sold it for some unknown reason. I sort of wish I had it back today. The new Tauruses I see today have poor triggers, actions, and sub par finishes. That's what turns me off. I'll not buy a gun with a gritty, unbearable trigger, nor one with an ugly fit and finish. These are indicitive of whats inside the gun. I'll pass.
  13. Mine says "Leupold" instead of "Amazon, but I use the same tool. I'd only use water if a liquid was needed. NEVER take a scope apart!!!!!! What kind of scopes are they? It may just be the scopes.
  14. I'll let it go when is is no longer a moderator, or stops acting like a child. Looks to me like he's on the internet. Short of that; I can't tell where he is.
  15. No...you don't. What you do is agitate to the point where someone says something they should not have said. It is the equalivent of a police officer at a red light inviting you to race, and then writing you a ticket for speeding.
  16. Once again, Daniel, I would submit that it is in poor taste, poor judgement, and just in bad form for a moderator to engage in a theological argument. I've seen you do this several times. You'll antagonize until you can flaunt your authority. We all have opinions, and I'm as interested in yours as much as anyone else's. The difference comes when you can ban someone who becomes snotty, while you are able to do so without recourse.
  17. I'd love to see pics. Sounds like an interesting rifle.
  18. My marriage was a religious ceremony. I'm not sure why, or on what grounds, the government does, or should recognize it at all. It would cost me money, but I'm not sure why marriage should be of any concern to the government.
  19. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/2373977/Savage_29 http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/110931-savage-model-29-pump-22-anyone-know-anything-about-them-update-got-now-pics.html This should get you started.
  20. Actually, marriage is a religious union, and Government shouldn't have anything to do with it at all. Also, marriage is a union between one man and one woman. I suppose a gay guy could marry a woman. A lesbian could marry a man. H3ll, I don't know why a gay man couldn't marry a lesbian! For two of the same sex to marry would require a change in the definition of the word.
  21. I'm guessing a truly worn out K frame 357 will be hard to find. They just aren't that much fun to shoot. However, I'm sure Bubba has performed his magic on more than a few.
