  1. The bullet puller is like an eraser on a pencil for the reloader.
  2. This is right. I haven't been there in a while, but surprisingly, the Wal Mart in Rivergate always seemed to have more ammo than any other in the area. I don't know if that is still the case. The bad part is you probably need plenty of ammo for your gun BEFORE entering the Wal Mart at Rivergate.

    I have converted

If you really want the revolver experience, pick up an old Colt or older Smith and Wesson.
  4. I saw a fellow shoot a clover leaf with an older one once; prone, at 100 yards. I do not know what he'd done to it, but I do intend to find out next time I see him. A Mini CAN be made to shoot. I've improved mine a lot already with a trigger job and retorqueing the gas block screws. I intend to lap the gas block to the barrel and bed the action at some point. Right now, I'd like to see how well it'll do without any further mods.
  5. Yes sir. 100 yards.
  6. I'm down to about a two inch group with my mini loading Sierra 55 grain SPBTs. I understand I may not get much better than that until I bed the action. I would appreciate any guidance in what to try loading next. I believe the Ranch Rifle I have has a 1 in 9 twist barrel. Should I go up to a 60 or 62 grain bullet, or a 52gr next?
  7. Dixie Gun Works is well worth a trip to see in person.
  8. I do not have any scientific evidence to back my opinion, just hearsay and experience.
  9. Liquor ages in wooden barrels. once it is bottled, ageing stops. As far as I am aware, it should taste exactly as it did when it was put into the bottle.

No, I wouldn't say that. They both wear parts eventually. Racking the slide, installing and removing magazines, and just general screwing around with them probably results in more wear than either firing or cleaning. I do still say that tearing down, cleaning, and putting back together DOES contribute to wear and tear. No, but I dang sure don't dissassemble and clean them each time I mow, or drive into town.

I disagree. The simple act of disassembling/reassembling will cause undue wear of most gun designs.
  12. TO everyone who is concerned with the exposed trigger... Assuming the gun is in your back pocket, and there is no other item in the pocket, What on earth could possibly happen to accidentally discharge the gun?
  13. Here's a cheesy quote that has meant a lot to me through the years: "Success isn't the destination; it's the journey." I suppose you could replace the word "success" with "happiness".
  14. I just hand the phone to my 8 year old son when I see an "unidentified" number. He has a big time talking to those clowns. Why is it that politicians are immune from the "do not call" list? I'd vote for anyone who'd pledge to rectify that situation.
  15. My friend, you are on the right track. You need to stop calling yourself ignorant and childish. I wish I'd have been as mature as you seem to be at 23. Then, the only happiness I looked for was found in a cooler or between a girl's thighs.
  16. You'll soon remember just how much cr@p you bump your thumb on every day.
  17. If you aren't going to use it but once, I'd put a ball on the bumper.
  18. If you'd consider buying a regular 870 20 guage with full size wood furniture, I expect my son would trade his youth wood furniture for full size, as he's about to outgrow the short stock.

I wipe off fingerprints, but rarely tear into one and give it a thorough cleaning. As others have stated, I've seen many more guns damaged by cleaning than by shooting.
  20. They all voted the same on the last case, didn't they?
  21. Could Obama make a worse Supreme Court appointment than George Bush made?
  22. He had my vote!
  23. Never sell a Smith! Buy another one, sure. Never sell one.
  24. Any idea why it has two bolt handles?
