Someone tell me why the U.S. House, which writes the budget, couldn't simply submit a budget that doesn't fund ObamaCare? He won't sign it, the Senate probably won't pass it, but I feel the House should pass it and stick to it.

I was mowing leaves about an hour ago, and when I quit to get a drink, my kids asked if I hit the house with the mower. They said the house shook for a moment. Guess that was it. We are quite a ways from Whitesburg Kentucky, or Knoxville for that matter. Will be interesting to see who else felt it.

Where are the leaders of this caliber today? -
Hi cap mags will be the first thing to go, so I'd stock up on all of them I wanted pretty quickly.
Yeah...you'll keep being ignored. You will NEVER get the perfect candidate....let me repeat that...YOU WILL NEVER GET THE PERFECT CANDIDATE. Your "third-party" vote will always be wasted and will never give you the results you claim you want. But that's okay...you can ignore me and everyone who doesn't agree with you and keep doing what you are doing...maybe one day you will get that chocolate cake our of the oven.
I expect I will continue to be ignored; just as the Republicn party will keep trying to foist turds upon us, and keep losing. Sounds like neither of us are gaining any ground, huh? Isn't it great we all get to vote?

Yes it was a great buy; especially right before deer season. Twice the money wouldn't buy a better quality rifle.
Wow am I tired of hearing that "we had a choice of two liberals"...I swear if GW himself were alive and running and not "conservative" enough for someone they would chime in with that statement. I'd take a TRUE and COMPLETE liberal of either party any day, who has morals, values and who actually likes the country, over anyone of any party without those attributes.
All I'm looking for is someone who intends to adhere to the U.S. Constitution in which they are sworn to defend. That isn't too much to ask. If that candidate isn't Dem or Rep, then they won't get my vote. There are several other people out there who feel the same. We are, however, not the majority, so third party is the only way to have our voices heard at all. Keep ignoring us, and keep losing elections.
-
Third party voters didn't beat Romney. We had the choice of two liberals. Romney beat himself. You do realize he got his butt kicked in his home state as well as Ryan's home state, right? If we're going to have a lib president, I don't know why anyone would prefer a lib Republican over a lib Democrat. At least the Dem isn't trying to pretend he is something he isn't.
-
Republicans running a liberal candidate didn't work in 2008, or yesterday. I guess they'll try it again in 4 years.

Dixville Notch sounds lik a nice place to live.

I voted on my lunch break. There was one guy in front of me.

This will help explain him. Technically, he was in the right, but it took great restraint to refrain from beating him severly.

How bout a little respect for Vandy??!!??
Hey Greg, you gonna be making those for other firearms? I might want one for a 1911. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Yup! Right now they are buy one, get one free.
Hey, can I Turn your child over my knee, and spank him/her?
If they need it and I'm not there to administer it, I would be upset to find out you didn't. If I can't discipline your child as needed, they aren't welcome in my home. I also don't want them around me anywhere else.

How many guns before you are hoarding them?
gregintenn replied to walton6467's topic in General Chat
Can you explain the difference in hoarding, accumulating, collecting, investing, and speculating? How many dollars does one need before they are hoarding? Who's business is it how many guns you have? -
Once you start off spanking youll prob stick with it much like people who smoke. You cant spank then do timeouts and expect them to work. I still stick with spanking is just being lazy no matter what anyone says. We started timeouts and taking away toys with our kid since she was 6 months old. She is 6 now and is very resonable and kind, she knows right from wrong. She is pretty politicaly correct for her age. She is a calm kid compared to hyper 6 year olds like I was. We havent gotten on to her in weeks. She beside me now playing Angry Birds. You dont have to spank, but if its something the parents fill they must bring out of their bag of parenting skills, then so be it. Just remember kids do as they see and hear.
Your children do not share my DNA; mind do. Since they are akin to me, they require the occasional rap to the hind quarters to stay in line just as I did. I grew up in a different time and place than we have now. I once spanked another person's child, and didn't know the child OR the parent. I was shooting pool in a country store with a friend, when a little boy came in, grabbed a handful of talcum powder, and threw it all over me. I turned him over my knee and spanked his rear end. If the mother objected, she never said anything. I might have done the same to her had she objected. Children who aren't disciplined often turn out to be the sort of adults who have screwed this once great country up!

My oldest son and I hunted yesterday morning and this morning. We saw several, but nothing worth taking. My father showed up yesterday with a giant 6 point buck. It had heavy beams, a good spread, long tines and all; just 6 points. It field dressed 165! He said he'd like sausage made from it, so I spent yesterday afternoon and this afternoon working on it for him. Maybe we'll shoot some for jerky next weekend.

I dog public school and teachers all the time, but I will sat that the teacher on the playground and the school nurse. took really good care of him and did a great job splinting the arm. Kudos to them. They deserve it.

Sam1, by the looks of your x-ray, you should be an authority on it yourself. I see some old breaks healed there as well as the new break and the metal.
