I feel that premium bullets are wasted money for deer/black bear sized game. If you go after something big, I'd spend the coin on premium bullets. Most of what you read and hear about them is simply marketing hype. I've been killing deer with boring regularity for 30 years now with plain lod Remington Core Locts, and Sierra Game Kings. There's only one degree of dead, and while the latest designer bullet may make you seem cooler to your friends, it just ain't gomma help on deer sized game from a 30-06.

Hope you left room in your budget for a big pile o ammo. That's where the fun is!

$500-$600 in my guestimation. A 686 is the perfect platform for the 357 Mag cartridge. If you fancy a revolver, you'll not improve upon the 686.

That should have been the first thing you bought. Reloading is a good thing. I imagine you'll enjoy it, and if you are like most of us here, you'll sink a lot of money into it eventually. A lot of people knock Lee products because they are inexpensive. I've found they work great. My setup isn't the nicest in the world, but I've loaded untold thousands of rounds without a hitch. I build my bench with 2x4 and 2x6 lumber. If you build one, build it heavy. An old office desk can be made to work as well.

Yup. drill the hole undersized, and file the flats with a small file. It doesn't have to be perfect in there. That's what the epoxy is for.

I would suggest you do it yourself. It takes a lot of labor to fit a knife handle in such a way that it looks professional. You could select a piece of wood, drill a hole through it, put epoxy in the hole, and attach it in place. Once dry, you'll be free to file, sand, and finish the handle to your liking. You'll have the satisfaction of having done it yourself, and won't have a fortune spent on the job.

Let's say you get a C&R license, and already have a collection of C&R firearms. Are you required to log these in the book, or just purchases made with the C&R license. How about purchases from private individuals made face to face? Do they need to be logged into the bound book as well?

The only troops who should be in that region are the ones manning bombers, and the ones at sea who refuel, maintain, and reload the bombers.

I'd buy another 99 Savage...probably an "H" model in 30-30.
