After spending most of the day on the phone with a cat in New Delhi named "Andy", I ditched my old Linksys and bought a Netgear from WalMart. It is upstairs. We have 2000 sf+. My kids have several electronic devices, and they work fine all over the house; upstairs, downstairs, basement, and out in the yard.

Consider this for a moment: We all know wealthy people. How many of them do you see standing in line to buy a lottery ticket? As already stated, a lottery is a tax on people who can't do basic math. If you aren't where you want to be, or at least on the path to where you want to be, it is likely due in part to poor money management skills, or perhaps a poor work ethic....or both. If you can't manage money, winning a lottery will be a curse to you; not a blessing.

I understand that Inca and Aztec indians practiced this, and possibly, it was one factor in their downfall. I believe that booze was made for drinking, and the rectum is an exit only orifice, but I have, on more than one oocasion, been called "old school".

Even simpler: If it has a safety; put it back! I don't know what fool decided a lever rifle with a hammer needed a safety, or why, but seeing one tells me all I need to know. Don't bring it home.

Macon county sells beer at convenience stores/grocery stores. No wine or distilled spirits anywhere. No beer sold on Sundays. No alcohol served in restuarants. Others can chime in on their locations.

I disagree. I believe you should, indeed, practice with what you carry. My kids don't practice baseball with walnuts; they use baseballs!

I wouldn't buy as GAP, as I don't think you'll find ammo for them very much longer. Just imagine your GSG having recoil; a long, gentle push. That's how shooting a 45 feels. It's great!

Yours has several non factory holes and some honest wear that would preclude it from being a high priced collectable. They didn't come drilled and tapped for scope bases, and I don't believe they came with sling swivel studs. Also, the 30-06 was by far the most popular chambering in a 54. It is, however, a fine piece of history, and a great high quality deer rifle. Take it out and use it for what it was made to do; kill deer! All in all, it looks pretty darned good for an 85 year old rifle. I expect it will shoot really good.
