Not a cancer story, but one you might can relate to.
When my wife and I were young and dating, she was in an auto accident coming home from work one evening. It turned out she had a seizure. She was prescribed medicine by a local doctor for epilepsy. For some reason, this didn't feel right. We sought more opinions. We met with a neurosurgeon, and he discovered a mass in her brain.
It turned out she would not have made it but maybe a few more days had he not found this. After a long and dangerous surgery, her problem was solved. We've been married over 17 years now, and have two wonderful sons.
My point in all of this is:
1)It was scary as hell for a young guy like me. I can't imagine what she was going through.
2)Hang in there! It might not work out as you'd like, but it will work out.
3)Love her, and hold her tight. She needs all the comfort and laughs she can get right now. You are there for a reason. You may or may not ever learn why, but you are there for a reason.
