Dangit! Photobucket won't work this morning, and I can't figure out flickr. -
My son made a great 200 yard shot on this 150lb 6 point buck! Why do they expire anyway? Why don't marriage licenses expire? -

I'm calm. I just find it frustrating that public servants can't count to 6. When these folks are in charge of your healthcare.....YOU GONNA DIE!!!!!!! -
all of this may actually be beneficial to us.
How's that?
-
No need to worry about this.....David Patreaus was boinking his biographer! That's what you should focus on.

First Attempt at a Molded Holster.
gjohnsoniv If I could make one comment on your holster. One of the first things I learned from a safety standpoint was to completely cover the trigger guard. By not doing so you are asking for trouble.
Where did you learn that, and why is it trouble? I do understand a covered trigger is required for IDPA competition, but short of that, I'd like to see evidence of a holster with a partially, or even fully exposed trigger causing an accidental discharge. -

Should be the 4th of November, no? Nov4-Dec4=1 month Dec4-Jan4=2 months Jan4-Feb4=3 months Feb4-Mar4=4 months Mar4-Apr4=5 months Apr4-May4=6 months Did I do that wrong? -
My tops are usually shot at that time as well. I'd guess around $40 for a resole, but that is strictly a guess. A call to your local shoe repair store would probably in order to know for sure.
But that's not right! It's a Prius! There is no way a BMW is better! I always have wondered how good for the environment are those batteries that only last a limited amount of time?
What does it cost to dispose of all these batteries once they've run their life cycle? If you figure the cost of the Prius, along with the fact that the battery is good for 100k miles and costs about $10k to replace, making it a disposable car at that point, you'll never come close to breaking even financially as opposed to buying a conventional car. I guess saving the planet feels good though, huh?

With all of the talk about civil unrest and secession...
gregintenn replied to Links2k's topic in General Chat
I remember the world was going to end new year's 2000, when Bush was elected, etc. It isn't good, but this too will pass. -
I usually get 3-4 years out of a pair of Red Wings. 1 year is a good life for other brands.

I just run mine under hot tap water until moist enough to mold. When you get bored with this, try tooling leather next. -
I wonder.... What if we do have secession...What if the Federal government collapses under the weight of its own idiocy...What if we do have a second American Revolutionary War...What then? The real problem with our country is not really in Washington D.C.; it's in the hearts of the people...you can have revolution after revolution but when the last shot is fired you still have the people and the people, not the "politicians" and not the "unions" and not the "lobbyists"; its' the PEOPLE who are the problem. The first American Revolution worked NOT just because we defeated the British; it worked because we had strong, independent minded people who were capable and WILLING to take care of themselves and men of exceptional principles and morals who were willing to be servant-leaders.
I could not agree more. You can't get most lazy fat Americans to get out of their car and walk into McDonald's to get a Big Mac; they'd rather grab it from the car window. If there was a revolution; who'd fight it? And as Robert said, "Then what?" Till the peoples' sentiment is changed by some catostrophic event, we are pizzing in the wind discussing things like this. -
He's fighting for what he believes is right. Isn't that what we've been taught to do? It's understandable that it gets annoying when people don't shut up about things. A carbon tax for big industries is probably a good thing in the end.
No he isn't. Al is an a$$, but he isn't stupid. He is trying to create a market; a ponzi scheme if you will. He has found a pretty sllick way to get rich off the backs of stupid people. All he needs is a law passed, and he's in. Did you see a couple of years back when the news reported that his average electricity bill at his one home in Brentwood was several thousand a month? Hypocrite?

I've learned that you almost have to use an airbrush to get an even coat of the tan dye. Brown is much easier. As for the black, I like Feibing's USMC black. You'll think it isn't dry, and it'll look dull and come off on your hands, but you can buff it with a shoe brush, and it'll slick right up and get rid of whatever accumulates when it dries. Leather dyes are funny, and each one has unique characteristics. I have a navy dye, and it appears greenish blue until you buff it. -
Scope Mounting - Need Help
gregintenn replied to MiddTennTaco's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I wouldn't think you would have an eye relief problem, but in case you do, Weaver makes offset mounts to accomoday short scopes, incorrect eye relief, etc. As for the torque, just turn the screws good and tight without trying to twist the heads off. I've mounted close to 100 scopes, and never used a torque driver, and never had any problems. Chill out...you are way overthinking this. Let us know how the Ruger shoots. Oh yeah, you'll probably need high rings for that monster scope. -
Clayton was actually the Democrat nominee. You may remember the Democrat party tried to kick him off the ballot after he slipped in and won the primary.
-
I voted for Mark Clayton!

Sorta reminds me of all the celebrities and other assorted fools who were going to leave the country if Bush won the 2000 election. Didn't happen. I actually think we'd be better off without the likes of Rosie Odonnell, Roseanne Barr, Alec Baldwin, et al.

I'm living on the side of the river I prefer to be on. I don't see much reason why I'd want to cross it in the event of an emergency.
My problem isn't with the people of Illinois; it's with the politicians who RUN the state and who operate it as if it's a soviet state...
Aren't these politicians elected, re-elected, etc. by the majority of the people if Illinois? I blame the people.
