Where to Buy Reload suppys? ( if they have some)
gregintenn replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
This weekend, I'd send you to the Hendersonville Gun Show. Look for a sign at a booth that says "Reloading Supplies", and a great big fella underneath it. -
Powder quantity question from a reloading noob

2400 is a good powder for magnum handgun cartridges as well. -
It's great! I intend to do it again.

You're right, It's NOT my responsibility. I am not law enforcement. I will attempt to obey the law to the best of my ability. I expect the same of you. Do you remember a year or two back when meth was the big news item? We HAD to do something! Well, now it is like getting a mortgage to purchase sinus medicine, and I still see just as many, if not more, arrests in our local paper each week for meth. We did something, but did it help? It forced another inconvenience on you and me, but little else. My point is that criminals will be criminals, and if they want a gun, they'll get a gun. They can break in your house and get one if that is the easiest route available to them. Let's deal with the criminals and not the tool.

I load my own. As for 22s, I have two sons, so for years, I'd pick up one of those bulk boxes of 22 shells every time I'd go in a WalMart. They were $7.97 when I started buying them. They finally went up to $8.97, and I was outraged. We're still trying to shoot em all up.

The "car trunk unlicensed gun dealer" is ALREADY breaking existing law. Shooting Chapin is also ALREADY against current law, as is a felon owning a firearm. What in hell's oven makes you think ANOTHER law would discourage these criminals? I'm all for stopping these guys just as you are. I just can't follow the logic that thinks while these guys won't obey existing law, a new law would really nail them. How about we do a better job of enforcing existing laws and prosecuting criminals? Making things harder on you and me isn't going to prevent crime!!!

I understand that, but it is what we in Tennessee have today. Assuming federal law requires it, don't you figure there will be a fee (fine/tax) associated with it as well?

Here's my take on it: There was all this buildup and hoopla concerning his introducing these executive actions. This caused some people to act a fool in defiance of something they hadn't seen yet. I don't think he quite got the reaction he was hoping for, but some, like the NRA, made public statements ahead of the announcement. People showing a lot of outrage, and then when this was unveiled and nothing was in it, these people look like fools and are now irrevelent in fighting anything else. I do expect this wasn't the end, but just the beginning. Obama is pretty good at baiting other people into making fools of themselves. Remember the birth certificate?

You'd think the American Civil Liberties Union would rush in to defend our civil liberties, but as of yet, I've heard nothing out of them.

Fair enough, Mexico. Round up all of your citizens here and take them back home, then come back and we'll talk.

I challenge you to provide any evidence, stats, studies, or links to support your claim. I do not believe it. I've been through more d@mned background checks than the entire population of a good sized city. None have found anything wrong, and neither will the next one. The $10 a pop is what it is all about. It is already illegal for several classes of citizens to own a firearm. Many of these people choose to break laws. Don't you reckon they'd break yet another law if it were in their path? I used to enjoy trading guns. There were several of us who'd trade among ourselves regularly. All of us owned multiple guns, and have bought from ffls in the past, and been exposed to the NICS check. Except for robbing us of more tax dollars, a check with each trade would accomplish nothing.

People don't need to move from New York. They need to stand and fight for their rights. We need to be behind them. This crap is spreading, and needs to be nipped in the bud. If you're in New york, and move to say Maryland, what are you gonna do when Maryland passes something similar? Running ain't the answer. -

Sounds great. Wonder what the rest of the deal is. Do you think the timing is suspect as to their meeting with Biden? -

Wow! I like that a lot. Sorry I'm unable to produce any info on it. You don't see that sort of thing for sale often enough to get an idea of price. -

His name is Glenn Beck. It won't happen overnight, but he is making great strides in this direction now. -
Most hardware stores carry them. Ace and Lowes around here have them in stock. I expect Home Depot does as well, but can't say with certainty.
