If your company matches your 401k contributions, I would go with the match first. Next, the Roth IRA would be a good option; especially for a young fella like yourself.   An IRA, or a Roth IRA is an IRS tax shelter. The investment vehicle in the IRA can be a mutual fund, bank CD, precious metals, stocks, bonds, etc. If you are looking for a low risk investment, go with the bank CD. If you are wanting bonds or mutual funds, talk to an investment company, or independent broker/mutual fund salesman. I imagine you could also do it online via etrade or other similar company, but unless you have a fairly good knowledge of investment vehicles, a good investment advisor can easily earn his money and help you all at once.

Update: I bought a bolt on Ebay. I decided I'd measure the distance from the locking lug to the face of the bolt on the broken bolt, and then the replacement I bought. The new one measured about .001 less than the old one, and would close on a chambered round. I fired it with no ill effects to the gun, me, or the brass, so I suppose I'm good to go without taking the bolt apart.   I also took this opportunity to replace the bolt carrier spring, as it seemed weak. I'm not sure if this contributed to the broken bolt or not, but it surely didn't help.   Thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure glad to have this one back in action.

There was a kid on our baseball team last year, and his grandfather always brought him to the games. The old man, without fail, wore camoflauge pants, and a bright Hawaian print shirt. He didn't give a flip what anyone else thought. I sort of admire him for that. I look forward to being the age where your clothes no longer need to match.

I personally have never found any rhyme or reason for flattened primers. I've had them with light loads, and then not see them in max or near max loads. I usually pretty much ignore them as pressure signs, but I've always prefered to buy a gun in a bigger caliber instead of pushing the envelope with the one I have if I felt like I needed more power.

As a teenager, I took guitar lessons from a man in Hendersonville by the name of Lynn Peterson. I'm not sure if he's still in the business, but I cannot imagine anyone better to learn from. He taught my some different scales to run through, focusing first on clarity and accuracy, and then, while keeping that, increasing speed. They were really tought at first, but soon improved your playing abilities greatly. Wish I could remember more about them so I could be of some help to you.

I'm not saying I could do a lot better with irons, but can usually get a bit tighter group. Yours isn't bad at all, and I did not mean to imply that. I was stating that I have no idea what to expect from a red dot sight. Would they help improve accuracy over factory sights, or are they just quicker to aquire?   Personally, I would mount a scope, and use sandbags on a solid bench to check for maximum accuracy.   For instance, my Bushmaster will shoot just under an inch with a max load of IMR 4320 and a 55 grain Hornady FMJ, and a 4x Leupold mounted. With me shooting, open sights about double that group with the same ammo. These are at 100 yards.   I would like to try a dot sight at some point.

Are you happy with it? I've never used a red dot sight, but would like better accuracy than that a 50 yards with standard sights. I wouldn't think you load to be dangerous.

Is the length of the case in spec? I've had a few rounds of 9x21 and 9x23 somehow make their way into my 9mm brass. :shrug: The 380s aren't so hard to weed out, but you have to keep an eye out for these buggers if you are buying range brass.

100-11 would be 89, no? I'm not sure when thay started putting safties on them. Was it that long ago?   Reloading is a big plus, as you can do all sorts of things with a 44 mag in these rifles; from plinking loads to true shoulder bruisers.

It could happen, but I have both, and I've yet to have a problem, and I'm not very anal about cleaning.

After a certain date, I'm not sure what it was but the are marked accordingly, the 94's were angle eject, and allow for a top mounted scope. That being said, a scope on a 94 is akin to a screen door on a submarine to me. A good receiver sight might be in order, but not a scope.

I would refrain from firing high velocity ammo in it, if I just had to shoot it, and would shoot only standard velocity target loads.

He told you wrong about it being the only one this side of the Mississippi. My ole pappy pulls his out for target practice every now and then. They're not at all uncommon, but as most Colts as of late, command a good price. It is a top shelf target pistol.
