  1. I don't trim 9mm. I do trim most every bottleneck case I load.   Straightwalled pistol cases don't tend to stretch much like high powered, bottleneck rifle cases do.
  2. Probably due to the sequester. I know very few who own, and almost noone who reloads for the 30 Carbine. Also, it isn't deer season, so I'm at a loss as to why nobody has flatpoint .308 bullets.
  3. Midway and Grafs are both showing 110 grain 30 carbine bullets, and any 30-30 bullets out of stock. Is there no end to what people are hoarding??!!?
  4. Probably due to the sequester.
  5. I had an Accord that had the engine block crack. My oil was going into the coolant. Have you checked that?   What is it about new tires, brakes, and timing belt that brings on this sort of thing? Mine even had a full tank of gas.
  6. The more difficult a bullet is to push down the bore, the LESS powder needed to push it. It sounds counterintuitive, but more resistance=a chance to build more pressure with less powder burning.
  7. Well, you certainly ain't a "TATOR".
  8. This guy seems to like the Rossi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00Gz6FcY5Vg
  9. A 158 grain wadcutter on top of 2.7-3.0 grains of Bullseye is the standard target load. Be sure to crimp!
  10. Ask at the Nashville Zoo. They have it everywhere, and I have considered planting some as well. It looks really nice.
  11. Thanks. Not many folks recognize the scope. I really like them, and you can run across them now and again well worth the money.   I'd sure like to see pics of the 22 Hornet mentioned above. I'll bet I'm not alone.
  12. You mean like this?
  13. This is where mine came from.
  14. I've shot it in several calibers. I've seen acceptable accuracy with it, and experienced 100% reliability. I prefer the newer coating to the sticky laquer they once used. $30 per 50 sure sound high to me, but I usually load my own, and haven't bought any in quite some time.
  15. Zero! But the S.O.B.s did steal a pair if Ray Ban sunglasses from me.
  16. You've got some good advice here. Use just enough media to where the brass tumbles. Also, add some sort of polish, like Nu Finish car polish. The lizard litter works great for handgun cartridges, but it isn't sized right for 223 brass. It gets hung inside the cases, and takes forever to pick out.   Without polish, the media won't do much. Also, when it gets dirty, it won't polish near as quickly either.
  17. Actually, it is atached with snaps, so you can take it off if you don't want it.
  18. Looks good to me. I find your stitching really impressive. Someone always chimes in with the uncovered trigger comment. How many cover the trigger when carrying a shotgun through bird country or sitting in a treestand with their trusty ought 6? I like a western flair to gun accessories. Here's one I tried a while back and sorta liked:
  19.                                                 http://jamesdjulia.com/auctions/div_catalog_331.asp?pageREQ=1&utm_source=emailsub&utm_medium=email&utm_content=catonline&utm_campaign=gun_13_spring   I thought some of you might enjoy perusing this auction. I know I did. If you remember, there were two earlier installments of this auction last year. The items were every bit the quality of this one. It is amazing one man could amass so much in such a short time.
  20. No safety. It is a Puma.
  21. I would be very interested in learning some solid facts regarding what happened to this pistol.
  22. I've reloaded most of my life, but just recently began reloading for semi autos. After reading how difficult it can be, I was suprised to find I had no trouble at all with my loads. It's good to hear yours work well too. Maybe it isn't as bad as some make it out to be.
  23. Unique isn't the powder for top end mag loads. Go get some H-110 or 2400. WW296 is H-110 with a different coat on if you find it is available and H-110 isn not.
  24. Where'd you get that spring kit? I picked this one up at a show last year for three bills. The wood isn't deluxe grade Winchester by any stretch, but the finish looks o.k. to me. If I had a gripe with it, I guess I would say the bb gun sights could use some improvement.
  25. My kids may shoot it all, but I doubt I ever will.
