Well, I screwed that up somehow. I thought I had the pics rotated. I also don't know why it posted the same one more than once.

I have a few pics, but it wasn't easy to get good ones with the way the area was laid out. Whoever invented the small primer 45ACP case....
gregintenn replied to gregintenn's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
It would be fine were ALL the 45 acp cases small primer. One every now and again is a pita! -
We were there today, and fount it interesting. I expect the weather put a damper on the turnout. Sorry I was unable to locate you, Dave. My wife was afraid it would be muddy there.

They've a decent price on tins of 7.62x39 as well. It shows "in stock". Maybe things are loosening up a bit.
-
It will go "bang!" It is not benchrest target ammunition. I believe it is of Israeli manufacture.

beautifully restored mosin nagants
gregintenn replied to ironsniper1's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Did you ever consider that is precisely why original mausers are becomming moer expensive? If you collect them, it makes yours worth a bit more each time someone makes a deer rifle out of theirs. -
Guess I got lucky too. As much as I like shooting the WASR, I probably couldn't handle an original Norinco!
-
http://www.classicfirearms.com/m44rifle Not giving them away, but they say "in stock". I like the compactness of the 44, and paid the premium for a 44 over the much longer 91/30.

Not trying to be snooty, but if your buddy can't afford his own $100, I assume he's shooting your ammo as well? What are you getting out of this friendship? Wow! My wife is right. I'm really not a people person.
-
It is a cheaply built firearm, but I thought that was the whole point of the AK. So I don't have to worry about it coming apart or anything?
-
Get a new "friend". Then get a Mosin. What is the reason for letting someone borrow a Mosin Nagant?
-
I keep reading this over and over on the internet, and frankly don't understand it. I have a Century Arms WASR, and it is quite accurate, and works flawlessly. The trigger in it is miles ahead of any AR I've seen. As I have yet to see ANY AK with the fit and finish of a pre64 Winchester, I would like to hear an explanation as to why these are so bad.

A legend among legends. He will be deeply missed; especially in Tennessee. :usa: Did you know he was a veteran?

LAPD Settles w/ Women shot during Dornan manhunt
gregintenn replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in General Chat
I think the offending officers should be lined up and the ladies allowed to shoot them back. Turn about is fair play, no? -
Buying an AK is sort of like buying a trash can or coffee mug; if it looks like it'll work, it probably will. There ain't much to go wrong with an AK.

LAPD Settles w/ Women shot during Dornan manhunt

What about the folks who owned the cabin they cremated Dorner in? What did they get? -
Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday
gregintenn replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
What are they paying for guns? I have a few to unload if they bring enough. -
No shortage of the damned things in Macon county! Just follow your nose. They are commercial, however, and do not sell to the public. There is a lady in Trousdale county who advertises over 50 breeds of chickens for sale. I do not have her info, but have seen her fliers posted around Hartsville.

good 'ol days component prices
gregintenn replied to 221 Fireball's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I have 1000 CCI benchrest large rifle primers marked $6.95. -
How do you know that chainsaw or four wheeler you bought on craigslist isn't stolen? If you have no reason to believe it is, don't sweat it.
-
The market has been flooded. I expect pretty soon that everyone who wants an AR will have 3 or 4. Some people will be using them as tomato stakes in years to come.

Best way to sell Mil surplus collection
gregintenn replied to urdubob's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Bring em by the house. I'll give you an offer on anything I find interesting. I've never been accuese of being a mall ninja, nor a closet anything. As others have said, I've had good luck selling guns on the classified section here. I've met some nice people in the process. -
I reload. I shoot. I deer hunt with my reloads with great success. Why would I not carry reloads in my handgun? I believe this topic has been beaten to death on the internet, and I've yet to see anyone produce anything but hypotheticals as to why not to carry reloads. Reloads, as well as factory ammo consists of a case, primer, projectile, and propellant. I don't see the difference except for price.
