  1. They look great! You wouldn't have a set of Ruger emblems lying around, would you? They would look extra special awesome with emblems.
  2. What is the point of doing this? If he doesn't need them at a time when someone has come to his house to confiscate them, he'll likely never need them. :squint:
  3. Sadly, there are many things more usless than the duck pecker study that our government funds each year.
  4. Move near Nashville, and I'll be willing to apprentice there for free!
  5. Just make sure you don't follow behind them too closely while driving.
  6. I understand you better now. Sorry. I guess the point I always want to make is that the needs of a normal civillian are different than a military troop in combat. There, I'd likely feel more comfortable with a belt fed machine gun. Here, not so much.
  7. I'm with you on the LCP. I'm a revolver man, but the LCP fits in my pocket better, and I don't have a cylinder digging into my leg. There are many better handguns, but they are likely to be left behind many times when the LCP is dropped into my pocket.
  8. I had in my mind that was in Louisana.
  9. Have you considered an M14? It seems to have all the features you want from both rifles.
  10. I have both. As others have told you, mags for the mini are expensive. Off sandbags, my AR will outshoot the mini. Get off the bench, and I do much better with the mini. I prefer it in every way to the AR, but everyone has a different opinion. I can say that both are 100% reliable. The Mini 14 is prettier and just feels better to me.
  11. I vote BOTH. Why would a gun guy limit himself to one rifle? I finally got around to buying an AR15. As I thought before I bought it, it really just ain't my thing. It does what it was designed to do, but I personally have little use for it. However, I own it, it doesn't eat anything, and I see no reason to part with it. Who knows what the future holds?
  12. Are you a big gunfighter?
  13. When the killin' starts, who do you blame?
  14. If it doesn't have a safety, and you don't have to take on a second mortgage to get it, jump on it! You'll thank me later. If it was made before 2000, I believe you can subtract the first two digits of the serial number from 100 and get the date of manufacture. I.E., if the first two numbers are 20, your gun would be made in 1980.   Where are you finding 44 Special cheaper than 44 Magnum?
  15.                                     http://news.msn.com/us/rainbow-flag-painted-on-house-across-from-westboro-baptist-church Nothing could go wrong here, right?
  16. Wow! Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Maybe someone up that way can drop him off a laptop so he can stay in touch and maybe pass the time a bit better as soon as he feels like it.
  17. You are correct. Semi autos were looked upon as hard to train with, and more complex as well as less reliable than revolvers. If I remember correctly, there were a couple of incidents in the late 70's or early 80's where different police departments felt undergunned while trying to subdue the perps. Then, all that wnt out the window in favor of superior firepower. Just fads if you ask me.
  18. Give Graf a call. I would be amazed if they didn't make it right.
  19. So far, 1 round would have more than enough for me. Who knows what the future holds? It is a decision one must make for himself. Personally, if I truly thought there was going to be trouble somewhere, I wouldn't be there. If that weren't possible, I would have a rifle handy.
  20. LOL! We've derailed this train for sure!
  21. Buy the bullet puller. This may be the first time you need one, but it likely won't be the last. Kinetic bullet puller=the handloader's eraser.
  22. Oddly enough, I've spent a good deal of time pondering that very thing. I don't know about anyone else, but a big part of the attraction to women for me is because they smell good. I'm not sure I could go for a woman who hasn't bathed in forever. I suppose if you didn't know any different you didn't know any different, and hormones just take over.
  23. So far, I've really enjoyed the program. It makes me see things in a different light than I picture it while reading. For instance, I never considered Mary might have been hot!
  24.                               http://arts.nationalpost.com/2013/03/18/satans-resemblance-to-obama-in-history-channels-the-bible-nonsense-showrunners-say/   I don't know if anyone else here has been watching this show, but it is pretty interesting. Also, I can't imagine the similarity shown above was a coincidence.
  25. See if you can find some old 1899 Savages while up there.
