1. You're right. I enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for sharing.
2. Mine too. Less than 2 bills, good quality, and made in the USA!
3. I would look for good condition, used Interarms Mark x. You can spend several times as much money and not have the same quality rifle.
4. I'm quite pleased with my Bushmaster. My father has a Colt, and is pleased with it. Were it available at the time I bought mine, I would have preferred a Smith and Wesson M&P Sport. For the money, I think they are hard to beat.
5. Sorry to hear about your loss. We buried my cousin when she was still in her teens. She hung herself. You are correct. The gun was only a tool. Had it not been available, he most likely would have found another way. Suicide is such a sad way to go.
6. I have not tried it myself, but I have been told that a tree killed by lightening just will not burn. I have no explanation for that if it is true.
7. I assure you something like this will be well worth the extra few bucks over a cheap one.                            http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/70900-beretta-686-silver-pigeon-sporting-1995-mfg/
8. I'm not a flashy sort of guy, but those do look pretty nice.
9. I used to ride bikes a lot, and have the utmost respect for other bikers. That being said, had I been the guy in the SUV, I wouldn't have left the scene of the accident, because the accident would have been scattered all over the freeway until I saw no more motorcycles.   Once when I was a kid, my buddy, myself, and our girlfriends were going to a motocross race in his mother's Cadillac. We made a wrong turn and found a string of black guys shoulder to shoulder blocking the road. Stopping and looking back, there was the same thing behind us. My buddy turned white as a sheet and asked me what he should do. I told him if he wanted to go back home tonight, his only option was to stand on the throttle. There just isn't anything else to do.
10. Pellet stove? Rabbit pellets?   Git you a chainsaw an cut your own firewood! :)   Seriously, if you don't have a place, and the want to to cut your own firewood, you'll likely be cheaper to use the heat pump. It's also a lot cleaner, safer, and handier than stove heat.   Not a bad idea to have one for backup, or for the occasional fire just for the heck of it.
11. You'll be glad you did. A quality over and under is more of an investment than a purchase. Don't overlook the used market. You just might find a deal there if you are patient.
12.                                 http://rprca.tripod.com/ModelsColt1851Navy.htm   Third row down, first picture on the left looks a lot like what you found to me.
13. If one can successfully contest a proper will, what good are they?
14. I bought a CVA Wolf at Wal Mart a few years back, and have been very happy with it.
15. I thought they were supposed to. :hiding:
16. Get one of each, and there's no way you can go wrong!
17. Sure. I'm not complaining; just stating a fact.   Theoretically, one could save money reloading, but I don't know anyone who has.
18. I've never saved anything reloading. I just get to shoot more.
19. The VFW in Lafayette puts one on fairly regularly on Saturday mornings. It is held next to Sunshine Market on Highway 52.
20. Load your own, and tailor the load to your wants and you're gun's preference. Those will be best, and the least expensive.
21. I have found that these are words to live by.
22. I expect it would be worthwhile to speak with representatives from James Julia, Rock Island, and perhaps some other auction houses in order to get top dollar for them. As a general rule, a collection of guns sold together will not realize near the money that they will being sold separately.   In the interest of full disclosure, I buy a collection of guns with the intention of selling the ones I'm not interested in at a profit, and keeping what I am interested in for free.
23. Right. But in order to gauge interest, some of just want to know how many zeros in the price before we go any further.
24. I too would like to hear a round about price.
25. That's a good lookig couple. :shake:
