http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/reloading/bullets/psa-1000ct-cleaned-5-56mm-brass-and-hornady-55gr-hpbt-2267-bullets-combo.html If a fella didn't mind a little work, this seems like a nice package as well; especially with free shipping.

I just finished up a can of IMR 4064 that didn't have a upc code on the metal can. I think that dates it to at least the early 80's. It worked fine. Like others have said, if it doesn't smell or look funny, use it.

Good looking pup, Erik. God made them cute so you wouldn't kill them for chewing everything you own.....and everything the neighbor owns. I love dogs.

Now that is just awesome! :stunned:

I just hate politics and all politicians. Which of the groups do I fall into? :hat: -
Did he offer to unload his as well?

UPDATE: Less than impressed with my 700 accuracy.

Sorry, I was thinking of the regular 700 trigger. I have never seen an xmark pro trigger, and have no idea how they work. -

I would check to see that all the screws are tight; stock screws, scope mount and ring screws. I would also clean the barrel well, and adjust the trigger to get a decent pull. The 700 trigger can be adjusted to tolerable from intolerable as they come from the factory. The ammo you are shooting has proven to be as accurate in the several rifles I've fired it in as any I can find, factory or handloaded. Each rifle is different, however, and you may find another brand or weight to be superior in your gun. I've yet to shoot a 700 that didn't shoot well. That being said, I know they do exist. One thing you may want to look at is the shooter. No one wants to think that is the case, but I find that I shoot much better some days than others for no apparent reason. I'd also try a different scope before sinking a lot of money into other options. Good luck with your rifle. -
May I ask why? I understand it isn't going to be correct, or even look correct, but I like the looks of the triangle handguard, the thin 20" barrel, and the early M16 stock. I don't mind that the carry handle will be detachable. Are you saying I will have some problems assembling the parts, or that it just won't look correct? Will the stock not fit the receiver correctly for example? I expected all the AR receivers had the same basic profile except for the flatop versus the non detachable carry handle. Perhaps I need to rethink what I intend to do with this receiver. Thanks for your help, as my knowledge on these is very limited.

Seriously, I intend to build mine in the general profile of an M16. This sight seems to have most of the parts I will need. http://shop.ar15sport.ihoststores.com/category_v3.aspx?categoryID=76 If any of you have know anything about this site, or have any better suggestions for places to find what I need, I would really appreciate your help.

My oldest boy killed a small 6 pointer this morning. It field dressed 126 lbs. Yesterday, he passed on several does and a couple of coyotes. We haven't seen anything good as of yet. :wall: The pic isn't sideways on photobucket!!! What am I doing wrong?

Way to go. Hunting is some of the best times I've spent with my kids.

My Citori has had untold thousands of rounds fired through it. This year, I finally took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. It still locks up tight as new, and shoots as good as ever. A bit of blueing wear and a couple of small dings are all the wear it shows.

Give me the Citori! A shotgun should have two barrels.

380 and 25 auto are just too small for me to get interested in loading. 32-20, 9mm, and 218 Bee are fairly tedious to hold onto.

Tennessee isn't all city, and some of us spend time at places other than Starbucks or Walmart.
