1. I throw mine off in a wooded holler behind the house. Once my dog is able to get the bones separated, he usually drags it back into the yard, one piece at a time.   I assume you are in town and can't do this, so I would suggest double bagging the remains and setting out with your household garbage.
2. I know, I know. Just funning ya!   Mr. Browning's machine guns probably had more to do with the outcomes of the world wars than any handgun.
3. Well, we won and the 9mm guys lost.  :D
4. I had one, and although the fit and finish were that of a cheap gun, and the frame seemed to be made of pot metal, the action was smoother than my Ruger Single Six. It was quite accurate as well. I'm sort of sad I sold it. I would buy another.
5. I just ordered a book, "Pet Loads: The Complete Volume" by Ken Waters for my wife and kids to surprise me with. We don't go real crazy with Christmas presents, and I already have most everything I could ever ask for.
6. That's why they make different calibers and models. I have several 45's, and nobody's gettin' 'em! Reloading is a promising thing to do for many calibers.
7. I just shoot them from my treestand while deer hunting. I'm told that an electronic call is fairly necessary for a dedicated coyote hunter.
8. You know, my boys and I bought a few cans of that stuff just to see what it did. HOLY ****!!!!!! :stunned:  I actually asked the dealer later if he was sure that stuff was legal. A shifty fella could do some serious damage with it.
9. Most of the used ones you'll find have been fired very little....pull the trigger on a full house load and you'll know why. ;)
10. If you already know so much, why are you asking for suggestions? $300 probably won't get you a reliable rifle with the characteristics you've named. You might consider saving some more money and getting a Springfield M1a or a Steyr Scout rifle. Buy all the ammo you think you need to single handedly whip whatever army or mob you are planning for. I'm not sure where you plan to "scrounge for ammo" but most people I know who own it wouldn't be very receptive to your idea.   I'm always entertained by the new guys who know more than the rest of us. How old are you? Late teens I'm guessing.
11. ...if you were seen wearing this asinine product?   http://bethedecoy.com/         1) You'd get shot. 2) You'd get laughed out of Tennessee. 3) The video of you would go viral on the net. 3) Your friends and family would have you committed to an institution.
12. I've had good luck with Palmetto State Armory and Graf and Sons. Midway is reliable, but their shipping is usually pretty high.
13. So....when are you gonna shoot a deer with it? :D   Seriously, congratulations on owning a very interesting piece of our history. That's a nice looking rifle considering what it's likely been through. I'll bet you wish it could talk.
14. At least as good, and likely better. I believe I'll go. Haven't been to one in a while. I hope some of the craziness has died down.
15. Wow! I've never heard of anyone else having such problems. The only one I've ever had I still have. It is a Norinco, and has been boringly reliable for nearly 30 years now. It is also very accurate with the old surplus ammo.   If I had to grab a rifle to defend hearth and home, I would be as comfortable with my SKS and bandolier filled with stripper clips as any rifle I own. It is built way better, in my opinion, than my AK.
16. Sounds like you are describing an SKS to me.
17. I shot a coyote this morning, and almost got reloaded in time to get a second, but not quite. Didn't see any "shooter" deer, just does and small bucks.
18. 34-17. They just put an ole fashioned butt whoopin' on the Gators! I think James Franklin is the real deal.
19. Davidson county would be among the worst counties in Tennessee in which one could live. I would much prefer any of it's bordering counties.
20. That is exactly why I go hunting. A treestand is the most peaceful place I go.
21. That's been my policy for a while. If I can hear the wind blowing before daylight, I don't expect it to get any better as the day goes on. I do not like hunting in the wind.
22. I got up, heard the wind already blowing, and went back to bed.   Congratulations on the buck,
23. Maybe it was just dumb luck, but I really. REALLY improved the trigger on my mini 14. It is still perfectly safe and reliable. I think the SKS is next. I haven't really looked at how the AR trigger works yet, but it'll be hard not to figure out with this upcoming TGO AR build.
24. What do you plan to do for a barrel?
25. I've made an honest 400 yard kill on a whitetail buck with this rifle and cartridge. Although I'm just crazy about the old lever Savages and Savage calibers for nostalgia's sake, the 280 Remington is the one I take when I think the shot may be tough or extremely long. The 280 isn't as widely available as the 270 or 30-06, and costs a bit more. I reload, however, so cost really isn't a concern. There is a great selection of 7mm bullets for this caliber, so the loads you can try are nearly endless.
