  1. Midway has stainless C products 30 round AR mags for $9.04 ea.
  2. I've got a lot to learn about these ugly guns.
  3. Thanks. I just assumed my trigger was a two stage from the feel of it. I knew my mini 14 and m1 carbines had two stage triggers. I assumed this was normal for all military and military style rifles.
  4. Wow. I ordered some ammo from them a while back, and it arrived in two or three days.
  5. I didn't know that. My Bushmaster came with a two stage trigger. Dolomite's trigger kit is designed to improve two stage triggers. I assumed the military rifles had two stage triggers as well.
  6. LOL. I found a pin with the clip already installed. No problems with the detents. Just push them down with the action pin, slide it into place, and twist it until the detent goes into the hollow area.
  7. Heck, you ought to have it by now!
  8. I have my lower together, as well as the dustcover on my upper. I'm waiting impatiently for my barrel, stock, handguard, and forward assist assembly. They are scheduled to be here Tuesday.   This is easier than I built it up in my mind to be. I bought too many tools. I also bought enough extra parts, just in case, that it won't take much to more to build another rifle. My oldest son is showing signs of interest in building himself one in the future.   With a little stoning on the sear surfaces, the trigger in the lower parts kit I bought here from member Byedan seems to be very good with no two stage takeup. I wonder who produced those. I was expecting a two stage trigger. I'm impressed!   I'd post a picture, but so far, it looks like everyone else's.   No M16 parts, Mikegideon!
  9. My worst battles happen at the all you can eat buffet. I don't really own any battle armor.
  10. Not me....see thread about hunting in the wind. There'll be plenty of football to watch, not to mention working on my TGO AR build.
  11. I wouldn't sweat it. I'd be more inclined to walk around with a sign describing the ammo and price rather than 400 rounds. Unless it's 22lr, it'll get heavy pretty quick.
  12. Anybody else having that problem lately?
  13. Much nicer than what I called it.
  14. Don't carry it in your firearm and you'll be good to go, unless they've changed the rules recently.   How much ammo? I wouldn't want to pack around a lot of it for very long.
  15. Thanks for the offer, Rightwinger. I picked some extras today. I'll need em for something one day.
  16. In your case, the previous owner devalued the shotgun.
  17. An NEF Partner or Mossberg pump, no. It will not affect the value to any extent. If you refinish, say, a Model 21 Winchester or Purdy, you've lost an astronomical amount of money.
  18. Any idea of the total production numbers of the receivers?
  19. I've found an old M1 carbine sling works well for most of my applications. It adjusts easily, and for shooting, you simply put your elbow through the loop, and it helps steady your hold. The cotton it is made of does not slip off your shoulder. They are lightweight and inexpensive, and the olive drab color looks good on most any gun.
  20. Yeah, I'm getting closer and closer to another one all the time.   Extra parts.   Kids might want to build one.   I'd like a very light carbine.   I'd like an M16 clone.   The list goes on and on, and I didn't even like these d@mned things a year age.
  21. I'll go pick some spares up tomorrow. What else should I get? I look to lose at least one pivot pin detent. Do the springs jump away as well, or just the detents? Anything else I'll likely lose would be appreciated, as I don't want to go back to the store again over the weekend.   Thanks, All Thumbs Gregintenn   p.s. Why didn't they just put a head on the dust cover hinge pin?
  22. You really need to get the sharing idea out of your wife's head. You just don't know what everyone's situation will be in 5 or 10 years form now. I can tell you story after story of seeing this sort of thing becoming screwed up beyond belief, ruining relationships and even lives.   I get along great with my in laws, and they are good people. Still, I refuse to do business with them. This keeps our relationship good.   Don't get in a hurry, and you'll find something that suits your wants and needs. I looked for several years before I found the place I wanted. I'm glad I was patient.
  23. If I haven't forgotten anything, and I probably have, The remaining parts for my build should be in route.   I stopped by the Armory, the Lebanon Gun Shop, and the Shooting Range, all in Lebanon today.   In The Armory, I was the only customer in the store, browsed around for a while, and was never acknowledged.   At the Shooting Range, I was helped, and bought a few things, but they didn't have a big selection.   At The Lebanon Gun Shop, as always, I was treated very well, and really learned a lot from the very patient guy behind the counter. I bought everything I needed that they had in stock for this build. His help will be invaluable.   Alas, I ordered a barrel, stock, and handguard from Primary Arms.   I may work on my lower this weekend as the weather doesn't look promising for hunting.   I'm gonna have a friggin fortune in this thing! :stunned:
  24. Sir, you likely handled it better than I would have. I'm glad you found her.
